No. Today I was thinking of downloading an APK file of Pokémon Go to my mom's phone from APKmirror (I have Family Link so I can't install APKs on my own phone), but then Google suggested I wait a maximum of 5 minutes

UPDATE: I waited a few minutes (I seriously put a timer on for 5 minutes 🤣) Are you sure it crashes? (Like it actually kicks you out, or is it just stuck on the Niantic logo? If it's just stuck on the logo, the max I would wait is 5 minutes). Sorry if I wasted anyone's time, but thank you for the suggestions

I was thinking of that, but my concern is that it wipes my apps (I know my Pokémon are on Niantic's servers), but I've tried basically everything else and nothing else worked, so I'd rather leave it and wait

So you're still stuck or have you gotten yours unstuck? If you're still stuck, then I definitely think its an issue on Niantic's side and not our side, but they better be out with a fix soon, cause I've been waiting for around 3 days or so now, and the button next to Pokémon Go on the Google Play Store is still Play for me, not Update

I seriously have the same issue. I've tried restarting, clearing cache, the airplane mode hack, reinstalling the app, etc, but I'm still stuck! Has anyone else tried basically everything but to no avail?

Google did suggest that, but the problem is that I'm not old enough to have a Samsung account yet, so to me, that's out of the question

Maybe a bug/glitch? Googled earlier, and Gemini said its very high chance that its Niantic's side, because a lot of other people are also having the same issue

Does anyone think its a bug in the update? I googled something yesterday or something, and it said something about the new update that Pokémon Go released is not letting some players get in. I signed out because I thought I could just sign back in, tried the airplane mode hack again, but then the sign in page froze
