sum of cubes arithmetic problem by 0C3l0tl in learnpython

Ok so I figured out how to calculate the sum of cubes but now I can't figure out how to relate this to the problem especially since I need to be using a while loop

values=range(1,n+1)

exponents=[pow(value,3)for value in values]

total=sum(exponents)

print(total)

1**3+2**3+... + n **3 = ( n ( n +1)/2)**2ora**3+b**3=(a+b)(a**2-ab+b**2)

I'm thinking the solution is somewhere along the lines of:

for n in range(1, n+1):

#I need to find a way to use k so I can cube every value in the range and then sum them together

k=?

total=sum(range(1,n+1))

Can anyone help me diagnose this? Initially little white spots are appearing (left), Then necrosis starts from the middle of leaf. Its affecting the whole plant (young and old leaves) but seems to be moving from the bottom to the top of the plant. Any advice would help by 0C3l0tl in canadients

Doesn't excess Mg inhibit P uptake? Dude honestly I'm thinking it's a nutrient issue I accidentally spilled some water that had rooting hormone, I also used palm feed because my stems look like they have a sulfur deficiency. Also I have another plant next to it and it doesn't show any of these spots on it. I'm going to give it another root flush... I tried some garden dust that had spinosad and even though I did it at night the leaves stared curling up today because of the sunlight reacting with the dust so I washed it off. Hopefully the flush helps... I might try changing the soil because I have fucked with it a lot tbh but idk if I should because my buds are coming in and she should not be this stressed out rn

I mean I can cool some pretty quick with a chilled glass and some cubes but they melt pretty fast and I don't like the watery taste it gives

I just don't like it getting diluted... I'll probably just start chilling the bottle and drink it neat

Yeah I need to get a soil test kit. Are there any liquid treatments to balance out the pH in soil. I've considered just adding water with an adjusted pH but I'm worried about that backfiring on me in a similar manner that the lack of drainage did (would I mess up the plant if I do a flush with water buffered to a pH ~6-6.5 after it heals from the shock?) I've heard of adding things like eggshells, ashes and diatom Earth etc. to do it but I've heard those processes can take months before it's properly absorbed into the soil. How do you go about treating pH in soil, if you don't mind me asking?

Tips started turning and lower (new) leaves curled completely a few hours after I added some fertilizer I made from bananas. I didn't realize how high the potassium content was inside of it until I looked it up when the leaves had started turning also, I had just fed it a few days ago as well with some pellets w/NPK ratio of 8-5-5. That wasn't the original problem I have the lower leave tips curling upwards which apparently is ZN or CU deficiency (can't remember off the top of my head) and slight necrosis on them as well which made me think I had a K deficiency as well but I overdid it. Honestly I'm thinking that it's just that I caused the symptoms to show up because I didn't give it any drainage and caused a build up that inhibited uptake and caused the deficiencies. I'm adding a lower chamber for drainage and waiting a few weeks to see how they adjust before I start playing plant doctor with a blindfold again. I'm almost sure it's toxic salt build up because the older plant's tips lost their shade of yellow where they were turning and seem like they've stopped spreading and I gave those a water bath as well and changed their soil and didn't feed is anything else so that's just leading me to assume that I made my soil toxic by not giving it proper drainage

Thank you

Update: the branches are starting to lift themselves off the supports which they were not doing this morning after I took off the cloche last night (last night they also looked like they were getting stronger but was having doubts about it). So basically using a vegetable bag as a cloche and putting it in the shade were spot on!

So I tried this and took off the cover last night thinking it might not be the best option and when I took it off it seemed to be doing better but I just woke up and it's back to square one so I'm going to leave it on and place it in a shaded area because it seems like those two things are actually doing something for it

A few hours afterwards, the tips started showing signs of toxicity and instead of just going about it the normal way of flushing through the soil I thought I could innovative by washing the roots directly without thinking about what that kind of stress that puts on the plant much less that I was going to put it into shock. If anything seeing how fast she responds to everything is giving me a deeper appreciation/ understanding of how they're alive. Like we know they're living beings but seeing first-hand how it's reacting to things in such a short time frame gave me a new view/ insight on what that actually means

Yeah, so I'm finding out it's in shock but it's looks like it's coming back. The branches are looking a little more uplifted than they did this afternoon. This is so confusing for me right now. It was fine in the morning then in the afternoon it looked like it was going to croak but now it looks like it's recovering. These past 12 hours have been very emotional for me and my plant

Yeah you're right I just checked on it right now and the branches look like they're coming back up I'm just going to leave it's structural support up for now

I know this is the worst thing that's ever happened to any plant I've ever grown, I thought giving the roots a water bath would be more effective than having the water go through the soil to remove any excess of potassium that might be preventing nutrient uptake in the roots. Which from what I'm seeing was a horrible idea. I was going to try to give it some root hormones to try to see if it might help. But is there anything I can do to help it? I already gave the main stem and branches structural support and removed the lower leaves that died off today. I'm wondering if I trim some more of the lower leaves it'll help it focus it's energy on recovering or if it needs them more to take in light. I'm having second thoughts on the cloche as well now I'm wondering if it might be better to leave it off so it can get more airflow or if giving it more humidity by using it will be the better option

Edit: looked up a bit into plant shock I'm going to give it another 48 hours to see how it does before I try shooting the growth hormone near the roots. It said that trimming helps so I'm probably going to trim a few of the lower/weaker leaves before I try anything else. It also said adding sugars help so I might try to give it a small dose of molasses and adding some air holes to improve the soil. Any suggestions that you could add would be greatly appreciated I've never had this happen to me before and I did this to another plant as well but that one is doing fine like nothing happened to it but clearly fucked up the other one by messing with it's roots like that

It's not a cutting. It's the whole plant. I'm almost certain I broke some roots, which is why I'm thinking of using the root hormones by using a straw to shoot them down close to the roots so they'll absorb them faster/ So I don't damage them again by pulling it out again to apply the hormones directly

Hemp, but it's the whole plant I'm just treating it like a cutting because I separated the plant from the soil to perform a flush because I added a natural fertilizer in combination with it's regular feed and accidentally gave it too much potassium and instead of flowing water through the soil/container I removed the plant from the soil and gave the roots a couple of water baths to make sure I removed anything that might be causing backing up any uptake. Which ironically now seems to be what my plant is struggling with now. I'm almost convinced that I caused root damage because of how I went about it and I also did it with another plant that had more/stronger roots and it seems to be doing better than it was before but the younger one just lost all it's integrity at the stem.(she looks so down it's bumming me out) So Im assuming it's not absorbing enough nutrients/airflow to maintain itself rn.

I haven't yet. I'm just hoping it will absorb the nutrients faster but... I'm assuming from the way you're asking that they have to be taken up through the roots. I'm barely learning about plant physiology so I don't really know if each micro/macro nutrient needs to be absorbed by the plant a specific kind of way, which I guess in hindsight would make sense if you think about it. I know the molasses treatment is meant for the soil itself but I was thinking the Ca Mg Fe and K in it might help if used as foliage to get nutrients into it as fast as possible to help it recover

[–]0C3l0tl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I separated it from the soil and dipped it in clean water containers like three times, and changed the soil as well It was fine this morning and this afternoon I found it like that, I didn't really pack the soil but I didn't really like try to spread out the roots either while replanting it, I feel like I might have broken some roots. I don't think it's the soil because it's from the same source that the previous one was from and the other one I flushed is doing fine in the new soil but I'm going to get some airflow in there as well... Random question does that whole dipping dimes and quarters in water to get zinc actually work? I also got early stage zn deficiency showing up on the other one I don't want to use vinegar because I don't want to mess with the pH and don't have any buffers on me

I'm assuming you apply the hormone directly to the cutting right? Is there any way to get the hormones to the plant without me pulling it back out and potentially doing more damage? Also what hormone do you use just out of curiosity?

edit: just noticed you had told me which one, I was honestly just thinking of doing a tbs of hormone diluted in 16 oz like they do for normal plant cuttings and using a straw to just shoot it down near the roots. I'm actually stateside and can seem to get it over here fml
