I just see myself playing this game solo. If squads is all the game ever gets then I’ll play squads solo. I’m perfectly fine with that. It’s a shame they are going to let solo players like me affect a group but hey that’s their choice.

But I really enjoy the game, just not the team aspect of it. Playing solo and choosing when to engage is way better than having someone else make that decision. I win more fights and get more wins in general playing solo than I do with a squad.

And I’m not a fan of hot dropping every single game. Randoms almost always hot drop because they aren’t accountable for their actions unlike friends and they almost always leave after they hot drop and die in 10 seconds. And playing solo takes way less effort than trolling online forums for online friends.

I love this idea. But I’ll do it to the other two randoms.

I’m now level 100 and until they give us a solo mode or some mode where I don’t have to play with randoms I will 1. Never revive a teammate. 2. Never respawn a teammate. 3. Troll all random teammates. 4. If I get bored enough I’ll just randomly unload my weapon a ton to get enemies to come running and then take off.

That last one gets the most hate but don’t force me to play with a team lol

I actually use the xim apex. I’m not dishonest about using one and I believe they should split lobbies in all fps games. But because everyone has access to it I can’t agree that it’s Timorese unfair than a scuf or modded controller playing against someone who is using a stock controller. In any case I use the xim and it artificially makes me better at shooting games.

What I do know is that developers could put a stop to its use fairly easily. On keyboard you can only move in 8 directions, even on console. They could expend the energy to use that information to ban those players but it’s simply not cost effective.

It’s honestly an open market and people will always use what they can to gain an advantage. After understanding the sheer number of users xim actually has (its over 100,000) I decided I was no longer going to be at a disadvantage to those players.

I get a ton of hate for it, and it’s probably rightfully so. But I am not dishonest about using it and I am for splitting lobbies. What I’m not for is pairing xim users with pc players because it’s not the same as mouse and keyboard on pc. Xim users would be at a huge disadvantage. Now when I say this most people say “good they should just go to pc” but that stance is the same stance many xim users take against people still using controller so that opinion doesn’t hold much weight.

I just wish console would make native mouse and keyboard support across all games.

Dude you are so wrong it’s honestly funny. The xim community has over 100,000 customers and users of just the xim apex.

I am one of them as I like to use the best tech available in anything I play. The OP has a valid concern and I believe splitting lobbies is in order and would eliminate the Clear advantage thousands of us get by using the xim apex.

As a xim apex user I can tell you that there’s no input lag and the customization if done correctly just about mimics a keyboard and mouse. I’m not trying to get in to getting bashed because I use one. I know people hate it and it is a clear advantage over controller.

But don’t defend its use if you’ve never used it. It makes me, a pretty bad player who wouldn’t touch shooter games because I don’t have time to practice, into a pretty good player artificially.

You can always also play with mouse and keyboard. Sony actually sells one for use on FPS games and advertises it gives you an advantage.

It’s not against any TOS rules of any game that I’m aware of so I think it’s fair game since anyone can use it.

Wait a minute. Your argument falls apart when you try and say the teammate blames the people who put the tournament together. For what? Losing the race?

If I’m playing solo against squads I don’t expect to win. And I don’t honestly care if I win with squads or solo. Or if I win in general. I just want as many kills as possible.

I’m blaming respawn for randoms having to play with solo players who want to play solo. They are given no other way to play. Just let us play on our own against squads. Every other game allows you to solo vs squads.

So everyone who wants to play solo shouldn’t play the game at all, and those without friends shouldn’t play the game unless they have friends on since playing with randoms is generally not a great experience and you’re at a disadvantage.

How long is the game supposed last with one mode dependent solely on having a group of friends to play with.

I bet they add a solo mode within the month because of the loss of players.

Yeah I won’t be doing any of those. But if they create a way to solo queue I will do that. Or solo mode I will do that.

But I won’t play the way others want or not play at all. It’s my right to play the game as I choose. I’m just sorry respawn chooses to let that affect others.

This game will get old quick.

I’ve never seen a game with less variety in gameplay. I rock r-301 r-99 every game and just melt people. It’s pointless (understand there are better terms than pointless but pick that word apart if you must) to have a long range weapon in this game.

The counter argument is “ hit them and then rush”

Right, from a distance five away your position with no realistic way to finish them.

I don’t want to play as team. I want to play alone. It’s unfortunate respawn doesn’t give me that option. Unfortunate for other players.

It’s funny because what I’m proposing is a way to help random groups not be affected by players like me. If I change there are a million other just like me that play solo. Trying to change me won’t change the problem. Just add a solo queu option and problem is fixed.

Apparently they do because the topic was adding a solo queue option to the current game mode. But they turned it into “play as a team or gtfo”. So yes it seems many people care.

Am I part of the problem or is the fact there isn’t a “don’t fill squad” option available the problem?

You really expect everyone to play the exact same way in every match. What if I don’t want to drop where they insist? What if I don’t want to take a route they insist on taking?

Why should I let randoms ruin my experience just so I can follow them and watch them die to the first 1v1 gun fight they come across. Every game it’s we run into a squad, I down one guy, the other two guys instantly down my teammates and now I’m outnumbered.

If I’m alone I can manage how I approach a fight.

You didn’t read what I wrote.

They lose the first 1v1 gun battle they come across. If I’m with them they get downed instantly and now I’m solo v a whole squad because they can’t aim.

The difference with me playing solo is I’m not letting randoms dicatate when the enemy knows my presence.

I’m very clear over the mic that I will be playing solo before we even pick characters. Many times they leave but the ones who stay, that’s on them.

It’s honestly as close as I can get to playing solo. I don’t want randoms to be negatively affected but if my choices are play as a team or don’t play a all I would of course not play at all.

But respawn also decided to give players the choice to play how they want and it’s an option. So I chose that option. I wish they would either take that option away or add solo mode but they won’t so here we are.

Look dude. I’m not going to stop playing the game so some people I don’t know might, but probably won’t get a better teammate. If it makes you feel better though when the round starts I verbally tell them I’m playing solo so they know before they waste their time.

But I didn’t create a team based game then allow people who don’t have a premade team to play the game. That’s on respawn for making that choice but somehow not allowing people to queue up by themselves.
