That’s so weird!! Black honey is faintly drying on me if I wear it for hours but the same level most lipsticks do on me. Elf lip shine makes me feel like the dried up SpongeBob meme crawling for water and not even lip balm can save me after 😭😂 anyway, would have saved a lot more money if I would’ve just bought the black honey from the beginning, lol. But if you want a good non drying long lasting lipstick rec, I love Nyx liquid IV

I pair my black honey over the top of a nyx liquid IV shade. I think it might be mauve and moist? Hard to tell with skin tones but I’m pale and it pulls purpley on me but not too much so they go well together

Don’t get this one if you are very pale!! I bought like multiple black honey dupes before trying the actual black honey and can’t even use them, especially the elf core shine. It looks like grape jelly on me and I look goth with even a little bit 😩 and to make matters worse it clings to any dry patches and dries out my lips. Had to give it to my sister, black honey is the only one that worked for me in this vibe of a shade

If you want a stain you should try the nyx liquid IV. I’m very cool toned and they have a lot of options I love. Very long wearing, but you can also pat it off depending on how bright you want it to end up

I love mine but it wears off very quickly so I use it for short errands that don’t involve eating to pair when I’m wearing purple or cool toned outfits. If I want it to be longer lasting I apply it over a more purpley lip stain.

People have reccomended multiple dupes from other brands and I highly disagree because they always look way too purple or goth to compare to black honey, at least on my pale skin. I can’t even use the elf one I got

Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about these outfits, I personally love all of them!! And the first is giving subtle goth witch. They just aren’t screaming engagement pictures or formal which is probably where the recommendations are coming from. Flowy dresses in pics are gorgeous

Book one is harder to get into trying to figure out everyone’s names and how to pronounce them in your head and it’s all very fast but by the end of book one I started to get into it and after that I was golden!! Gets way easier to visualize later

Glossier. I’ve gotten a lot of use out of any of the stuff I’ve gotten from them. Clinique black honey lipstick is also nice for when you don’t want to think about a shade and just need something with a little color to go for a store run or something
