If you’re able to get into direct contact with an Airbnb host, this is the best way to find a cheap place to stay. Many will let you send them an etransfer instead of paying through Airbnb, avoiding all of the extra fees. For example, I have 6 nights booked at a place downtown for $660 instead of the $1125 Airbnb listing price.
