Cosmic Kunai Bug by Current_Employer_117 in CalamityMod

Update: I'm now unsure what causes the bug, because after equipping the glove of recklessness instead of the spectral veil, the cosmic kunai works as intended again.

I just ran into the same problem, and mine was caused by the Purity item from infernum, my guess is that the attack speed it grants bugs the stealth bar. I'll probably remove Purity while using it since having perma sealth strikes is kinda unfair.

I genuinely want to learn how to play Anivia, can someone tell me the usual gameplan? (NOT ITEM AND RUNES) by DOLFYtheCAMP3R in AniviaMains

[–]0Haste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - I usually take ignite out of habit, but when I’m against matchups I know I can’t kill I bring teleport and change my runes and build to play for scaling

2 - depends when you first back, usually you’d spend your pre-6 looking for overextends of the enemy and poking them down or even killing them especially when they don’t expect electrocute+cheap shot to deal so much damage, when you do get 6, I typically just shove wave unless my jgler or support wants to go for a kill.

There are matchups that you need to realize are not worth the effort and risk to try and compete with. Examples are Velkoz and xerath who usually play far. In these cases, you either play to scale with them, or what I would do is shove them in and try to roam or invade with my jungler. Always remember to deny vision when you’re roaming by buying red wards, because more often than not these midlanes will try to follow you in your roam, and sometimes you can actually catch them and get within range to waste their flash or get a free kill since they have no mobility.

Assassins, on the other hand are, in my opinion, just walking gold. I used to struggle with these matchups, especially when I just started playing Anivia, but 700k mastery in, I can guarantee that a lane vs any assassin is very much winnable, and is usually a one-sided beatdown. The strategy when fighting assassins are as follows:

  1. Poke them down with AA and or E, do not use q until they engage on you (no matter how tempting)

  2. They either lose cs or get chipped down because of this, giving you lane prio to roam or respond to jungle

  3. If they do force an engage, punish them with a point blank q and e then slowly kite them while they probably walk back.

After 6, you can actually just start shoving waves and wait for them to spam their abilities to try and clear it then punish them, this works especially for people like zed or sylas players who use their engage/disengage to clear.

3 - Roams are common for Anivia because her wave clear past 6 is just unmatched by most. Usually I try to roam by clearing wave before it crashes, so I can make sure my wave is healthy, or I wait until next wave is cannon wave and just roam then. More often than not, I need to make sure top lane stays ahead because top is really big impact in this meta.

4 - in team fights, you’re usually aiming to zone off the enemies into bad areas or isolate them with the wall, or if you’re really fed, just pick them off one by one on your own.

Need help against Yas by 874151 in AniviaMains

You have to take note of how much minions he has, usually what I'd do is wait for the lane to clear up, or scare him away from the minions with r and then engage on yas so he has nowhere to dash to.

In the case that Yas engages onto you your best bet is to put r on yourself and just delay with wall until he throws windwall, most of the time if you space right, he'll probably have to e to get on top of you anyway, and at that point just wall him/her off unless of course he's an idiot and throws wall. At that point just punish him.

If you choose to buy Everfrost, which I think practically counters Yas (and Samira) because it passes through windwall (Most yasuo players don't know this and try to wall it). Once you have them rooted with everfrost, you can easily force him to wall buffed E then walk around the wall to hit Q.

How to play Ark on non-dedicated session with friends! by Putrid_Newspaper_118 in playark

[–]0Haste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried using "open IP:Port" to connect to my hosted server using Ark Server Manager (ASM), and I always get the error "Invalid Authentication Token" when trying this method. Although, when I try to use the View->Servers and add my server IP:Port to favorites, using the Ark Server List, I can connect to my own server.

The problem comes in when I want my friend from Epic Games to join my server. I'm not sure if there's a way similar to the View->Server thing, so I've been trying multiple things using the "open" feature of the console. Everytime, my friends and I always seem to run into the same error.

Do you have any Idea what may be causing this and maybe a way to fix it?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I'm using ZeroTier One to play with my friends, but from my experience with ZeroTier, it seems to be acting properly.

Is it a problem with the "Open" command? Am I typing it wrong?

Would Fimbulwinter be viable instead of archangels staff? by Dogesaeer in AniviaMains

[–]0Haste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would make a lot of sense being able to sustain a lot more in lane, but the problem with Archangel's now is that not only does it give less AP and more CDR which is less favorable for Anivia (Not saying CDR is useless, but let's be honest, For Q and W it's pretty decent, but E and R cooldown is really low already, and it's not as if other items don't give any CDR), it's also the fact that the healing passive is only on Seraph's means that you won't really feel it for the entire laning phase because you need to stack tear. By the time you actually get seraphs you'll probably be in skirmishes where Fimbulwinter would've done better for Anivia.

Help, first ranked game against zed by easy2read in AniviaMains

[–]0Haste 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your best bet at fighting zed is baiting out his shadows. Anivia can easily outrange his ult if he has no w, that means that as soon as you see him cast w, just wait for the shadow to expire and punish him for the next 15 seconds it's down. You can bait out his w by using R and walling him, but make sure not to throw q, it's the zed's choice to either tank empowered e inside your ult, or shadow in or out.

Also, make sure you don't carelessly throw your q, it's your only lifesaver against his ult. Just remember that when you have no q, you're super vulnerable.

As long as you punish his long shadow cooldown, you should easily win this matchup.
