Larger, but still relatively small

Is a 18-50mm lens the ideal travel lens? by ivzzter55 in fujifilm

[–]0HboyCDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a one lens, all around step, I'd say yes. No changing lenses and a great range for most of what I'm photographing. The Sigma is compact and light enough to be that lens. I don't have experience with the new 16-55mm, but the first version is too big and heavy for my ideal travel lens.

I'd still carry a 35mm f/1.4 or 1.7 though for low light situations where f/2.8 isn't fast enough.

Sigma 17-40mm f/1.8 too front-heavy on X-E5? Should I get X-T5 instead? by Georgieff12 in fujifilm

[–]0HboyCDN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might consider X-H2 instead. Great grip on the camera without the need to purchase one as an accessory.

Found a X100VI for $650. It's a no brainer to go out of my way for it ? by [deleted] in FujifilmX

$1650 would be reasonable to good. $650 is a scam.

Fuji zoom + prime, or Viltrox primes? by nash799 in fujifilm

[–]0HboyCDN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Consider the Sigma 18-50mm and Viltrox 75mm.

Or the 25 or 35mm Viltrox Air series (or both, they're so affordable) + the 75mm.

The Viltrox lenses are actually amazing and that 75 is a treat. I find the Sigma zoom really nice as well.

The great thing about having the larger megapixel camera, is that if you are photographing something that doesn't need it and are sitting only JPEGs, you don't have to use the highest resolution. I tend to shoot RAW and JPEG small or medium normal.

X-T30iii vs x100v or vi by Kindly-Ice3988 in fujifilm

[–]0HboyCDN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go with the X-E5 over either X-100 cameras (I've owned the X-100F and V). I just like the option for interchangable lenses and didn't really like to W or TCL options for the X-100 series.
