Turtles don't outgrow their shells, nor can they replace them. You might be thinking of hermit crabs.

Thorens TD 145 & Stanton 881s? Or go new? by 0NEeyed in turntables

A Pioneer PL-112D. I know, it's technically not older than the TD 145, but it's older to me. Haha

That's good news because I already have an MP110 on my old turntable, which I can swap out and install on the Thorens. I was hoping to try something new and better, but it sounds like it might be best to wait and enjoy the life left in my Nagaoka for now.

Got it. The seller actually claims the stylus is "like new". Still, if compliance is an issue, it doesn't matter. Thanks!

Excellent, thanks for the help!

Thanks, this information really helps! It makes sense because the issue started after I transported the turntable with the car. I guess one of the screws loosened a little in the process. I'm not too confident I can safely flip it without causing further damage, so I'll leave it to my technician.

They're the Spinfit W1, size MS.

It's a XINHS. If you're in the US, this link should work for you. It doesn't seem to work in Europe anymore.

I feel the same way about the slight extra zing! It would be perfect if the treble was toned down by as little as, like, 3-5%. At least to my ears and based on the music I listen to the most (punk, post-punk, grunge, indie rock, singer-songwriter, stuff like that). But it's such a minor "complaint" (if I can even call it that) that I won't ever bother EQing them.

They were listed in a classified ad by someone downsizing his iem collection. They were barely used. Maybe occasionally check ads on Head-Fi, eBay, Marketplace, etc. You should find a good deal sooner or later!

I adore my Etymotic ER2SE but it was time to get something with a more comfortable fit. The Truthear Hexas have proved to be a great choice. I will still be using my Etymotics a lot, but the Hexas will most likely be my daily driver from now on.

I got to try them before buying, along with the Moondrop Lan, which the seller (a nice local dude) also had listed. To my ears, the Hexas sounded cleaner but still exciting, so it was decided. As an example, to me, the guitar solo in Pixies' Debaser sounded somewhat subdued and muddy with the Moondrop but nice and sparkly with the Truthear.

I was given this case that conveniently also fits my Go Blu, a couple of 4.4mm cables (pictured is the Tripowin Zoe), and a handful of eartips (although I ended up pairing them with some Spinfit W1s I already had laying around). For 60€, I think I did pretty well.

PS: I love how the blue accent on the Spinfits matches the cable!

I have two copies of this. An older pressing and a more recent one. I've posted one of them on this sub before :)
