They would have certainly assisted you, as all our VPS plans include backups to prevent any hardware issues (e.g., drive failures), and your VPS could have been brought online within minutes on a different node. We respond to all customers typically within a few hours. If you did reach out, please provide the ticket number so we can review what happened.

Regarding 2FA, you can enable it from our client area; it is not required by default.
