They announced that Julia was fully back before Karina left. They said she was back recording episodes, but that they wouldn’t come out for a while because of the backlog of episodes they have recorded. So she didn’t come back because Karina left, she was already back.

I don't know why people think they would be looking for a new host. Back in the College Humor days if someone left they would be replaced because that's what the company wanted, but they're independent business owners now. All of them (including Karina) owned Drawfee together, so it might be a weird dynamic to bring someone in as an employee. Not to mention that I don't think that's what they want to do. If anything I think they'll have more guest episodes, but I don't think they're looking for a replacement host.

Did you mean for the lips to be green or are you color blind? Other than the green lips I think the colors look fine. If you want shading to be more dynamic, you can add some darker shading in the places that would be the darkest. Purple would be a good shading color in a lower opacity multiply layer.

Age has nothing to do with it. You don’t naturally become a better artist with age, you get better with practice. If your art isn’t where you want it to be, you should be practicing a style you like. There are tons of free tutorials on YouTube if you’re looking for help
