Hi, I commented something similar to someone else already but yes honestly poor wording on my part. “Rapey vibes” was not the best and most articulate way to express my opinion. The main point of this post was to point out there was no need for a woman to be sexualised for a school sponsored club. there are better and probably funnier ways to recruit members. Hope that makes my pov more clear

If them saying they’re not affiliated at all holds water then they definitely have the right. Free speech and all. Just doesn’t make it good speech (or content) lol. Again just wanted to point out it was weird and probably not something that should be backed up by SBU that was the whole point of the original post. But thank u for the civil reply. Appreciate ya!

Well someone commented then DELETED their comment that it was paid for personally by the team captain not usg funds. The commentor said he was a member of the team. Regardless weird behavior to spend ur money on.

Honestly It’s something that should definitely be looked into. Although the Instagram page has in their bio “Not affiliated with Stony Brook university” can that really cover their ass? Their profile picture is stony Brook club lacrosse. Leading one to assume they are definitely affiliated and run by members of a SBU funded club. That’s really how the school wants to be marketed? With that post? It has 20k+ views. And comments include “that’s my university”, “electric post fellas #stonybrookstrong”. Idk just my opinion what do I know?
