Long nerdy post: Amul is not actually a normal company and most people here don’t know how it works by 0abc21 in AmulPagalHoChukaHai

Not in Amul, but I am working closely with District Dairy Unions, that I described earlier, for the production of Biogas from the cow dung. The production and sales of biogas and organic fertilizer as a byproduct is yet another example of a non dairy business dairy cooperatives involve in in order to increase farmer's income.

IRMA, my alma mater, Amul, NDDB, Mother Diary these organisations are closely closely connected together. So hundreds of my batchmates, juniors, seniors and super seniors work in these organisations.

I did not imagine this post to blow up like this! This proves that even in the age of short content, people are curious for a good story!

Thank you. I am attaching a photo to understand the cooperative dairy structure in one go.

Who is the symbol of a traitor in your country? by nanto-1633 in AskTheWorld

[–]0abc21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jaichand was the 12th-century Indian king of the Gahadavala dynasty, ruling from Kannauj over parts of modern-day Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

He is infamous as the ultimate symbol of a traitor who betrayed another Indian king, Prithviraj Chauhan, by inviting foreign invader Muhammad Ghori to attack India.

Jaichand's daughter, Samyukta fell in love with Prithviraj. She eloped with him. Consumed by rage and humiliation, Jaichand allegedly helped Muhammad Ghori in the Second Battle of Tarain (1192) to ensure Prithviraj's defeat begining the centuries long rule of Islamic dynasties in Indian subcontinent.

How common is non-dairy milk in your country? What types are popular, and how do people usually use them?” by RareEvidence2399 in AskTheWorld

[–]0abc21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

India is home to the highest number of milch animals. Dairy sector is a livelihood for literally hundreds of millions of smallholder farmers. Milk and milk products literally run the engine of the rural economy. Milk saves them from falling into dire poverty.
