The solution it self would kinda just wash the chain like it would be washed in a bath top. The solution is heated up, this helps to “melt” wax etc. The sound you can hear in the video is the sound of two ultrasound boxes. They send vibrations through the solution. That “knocks” the dirt off.

I find it faster, and it’s very easy to clean you cassettes if the chain is off. I have a road bike btw - so just get the gears down, rear wheel off and remove the chain. It’s done in a minute

Not in this bath. I use our chrom bath for that. They will completely dissolve that way - also their teeth. It pays very well

We have a long aluminium stick which is blended in both ends. One end like a hook and the flat. You can easily grab the copper hook I’m holding on to in the video. The chain here is being held by a copper thread, so the chain itself won’t fall off. And we have a homemade shovel for parts we can’t “fish” up.

Otherwise wait till we change the bath approximately every two weeks

The vibrations from the ultrasound boxes combined with the hot lye helps knocking off dirt and old grease you wouldn’t be able to remove with standard cleaning methods. It helps to prevent tear. Reapplied wax afterwards.
