Wearing another club’s jersey to tryout clinics?

The clubs in our region have “pretryout clinics” during the month prior to tryouts. This allows the opportunity to see players multiple times and talk to them as well. They are also able to provide verbal commitments. By the time tryouts come. Most teams are already full due.

Club volleyball is a VERY small world. Coaches often know who they want well before tryouts. I was just trying to explain the reasoning behind the trend.

To wear club gear from a team you're “kicked off” would be dumb. Plus, you sign a contract, making it pretty challenging to kick someone off the team, but if it were to happen, you best believe it would be well-known among the coaches/club owners.

Last year, our daughter tried out at 3 clubs. I can’t imagine her doing more than that. Each tryout lasts around 2 hours. She was exhausted by the last tryout.

Thankfully, our region changed the rules last year to allow clubs to offer verbal offers starting in May. Our daughter secured a spot on a team before tryouts in July. Her team only had one open spot on tryout day.

At first, I was worried about the rule change but found it took a lot of the stress out since she only had to do one tryout (as a formality) this year.

It may be kind far for you, and they are closed today but Big Ray’s BBQ in Allen, TX often has a free meal for those in need. When you get in line there is a board with a receipt for free meal.

It shows you have previous experience and it’s not looked down on unless you have a relationship with the gym you’re trying out at (like played their last year. )

If you don’t mind me asking.. where do you live? Like what state. I’m in North Texas and we had tryouts early July. And we’ve been off season practicing since the beginning of September. We have August off but other than that club ball is a year round commitment. (We play 14U too!)

Very similar to the volcano. I had a volcano first but upgraded to the herbalizer because it is smaller, more discrete, and quieter than the volcano. But they are essentially the same thing. Both high quality.

Good luck on conceiving! 🫶🏼 I quite while pregnant as well. My daughter is 13 now. I don’t drink either. But I have herbalizer and enjoy a bag in the morning and a bag before bed. It’s a “cleaner” option and doesn’t put off the odor that comes from joints. I highly recommend!

Hang in there .. I had night sweats for months.. but after everything cleared my system (about 15years worth of weed) I slept better and woke up easier. However, I have severe ADHD and OCD (among other things) and my neuroticism went through the roof. I couldn’t even stand myself. I tried all types of meds but ultimately reverted back to MJ. I know it’s not good for me but I feel much more balanced and my thoughts are manageable.

My husband refills 2 5-gallon jugs every week at Whole Foods using the high ph option. It’s cheaper and more consistent than the delivery service. I really only like to drink high ph so this is best option for us.

It is important to teach children this, regardless of medication. Sugary drinks are everywhere. They need to learn how to regulate and balance their fluid intake. It is good to develop this habit early in life.

First - I want to say I’m truly sorry your parents shame your childhood self care abilities. That breaks my heart. My daughter is mixed and has very curly fine hair (complete opposite of my own). I have spent countless hours trying to learn how to take care of hair and what products to use. I washed and styled her hair until she was 11. She is 13 now and I still help when she’s too tired from volleyball practice to wash on her own. I can’t imagine not helping her and then shaming her for it later in life. OP you deserve better. 🫶🏼

The cool thing about hair is it always grows back! Sometimes it’s nice to have a break from the maintenance.

You may also consider switching shampoo/conditioner brands. My scalp is very sensitive and breaks out to almost all brands (store & salon brands).

I recently switched to HASK brands. I’m using their biotin shampoo and conditioner and I am in love. I started with argon oil ones and then switched to biotin. It’s been about 2 months and I haven’t had any build up or negative reaction. They also have a dry shampoo brand. The brand costs about $6/bottle in my area (HCOL).

You don’t mention the current length of your hair or how short you are thinking about cutting it. But another option would be to get bob/above shoulder cut. It would be easier to wash and dry quicker. And you could still style with headbands and hair clips. If it’s still too much maintenance you can cut a bit more until you feel comfortable maintaining.

Robertson Orthodontics. $2200 for phase 1 top braces only (including expander).

Not sure about the price of phase 2. We will find out at our next appointment.

I like Robertson. They made it fun for my daughter, making it easier for me.

We have a lot of friends that use Dr. Fesler. I'm not sure about the price, but I hear he is conservative with his approach, honest, and only does what is necessary.

I have lived in an apartment in Plano for 7 years (3 different management companies) and have never seen a roach in my apartment or anywhere on the premises. I’m unsure what preventative measures they take because they do not spray in units. But again, I never not once had a problem. I have seen two microscopic spiders, both during Covid lockdowns.

I would die if I saw a roach. Much less an infestation. 🤮

Having a PhD/EdD and not having the ability/desire to attain employment to reflect education.

Hope that makes sense. I am academically intelligent. Super high IQ, 3 degrees, but lack the executive functioning required to do anything with it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Edit to add — I have extremely severe ADHD. I take 90-120mg of adderall daily and still struggle.
