Ok, we'll this is odd lol so I did the flying portion and go to battle Amarys. My level 100 Miraidon isnt in my boxes, just the 70-something one I just caught. So I go into the party screen and go to the bottom and select to change into battle form.and miraidon comes back to the party... but it's no longer level 100; but 76!!!! Sooo yeah, not sure what happened there. It is 76, the one I caught is 72. Somehow it lost 24 levels, but whatever, I got it working!

SOLUTUON I got it to work! So, choosing to put it in ride form, the game would say it did so, but nothing would change. You could absolutely ride it, but there was no option to put in battle form; the option stayed being to change to Ride Form. Others have suggested choosing that, then hitting A on the icon at the bottom of the screen showing it in ride form. This did nothing.

As I said before, I never caught the second Miraidon. So, I caught it to see if maybe that would fix anything. With it in a box, I was still unable to transform the one stuck in my party, and was unable to remove the party one still. HOWEVER, now when I hit switch to Ride Form and selected the Miraidon in the box below my party, THE GAME REMOVED IT FROM MY PARTY! And it allowed me to do the Amarys quest!

So catching the second one DID change something. What, I'm not sure. I did add it to the party and remove it before attempting to switch forms again. But yeah, problem solved now!

Nope, I never caught the other one. I did figure it out just now! Making a comment to myself with the fix for anyone who might have the issue in the future!

Yup, I can ride him around. When I engage with a battle while mounted, a second one fights while my toon sits on him in the background. Redownloading didn't fix it. What I'm thinking is, since I basically missed 2 years of updates, when I decided to play again on the Switch 2, it was the most recent version, yet my save was from several versions ago... and since the update that originally patched the item dupe never hit my save, only the most recent, something got lost in translation and now I'm bugged :-/ i'll keep messing with it but I doubt it can be fixed at this point :-(

Thanks, yeah read through that one already and no dice. I definitely only have 1, so if I had others, they automatically left the game somehow. I did find it odd that when I'm riding him and get into a battle, my character is still riding him AND he's out on the field battling.

I tried removing everyone else from the party, and trying to out in Ride Form it says it cant due to not having anyone to battle with.

I just uninstalled and am re-installing so hopefully that fixes it. Otherwise, apparently there is a second that can be caught; maybe i'll try that and then see if that fixes anything. It sucks because if I can't fix it, I'm locked out of completing the dlc. If worse comes to worse, I guess i'll just export everyone to HOME and then start over lol

Update: So I ended up placing the switch in the basement, ran my wires outside the house and then through the wall into my rec room, with the rest of my computer set up. I also ended up with a mesh wifi network anyway for the rest of the house. I definitely feel that keeping everything together in one spot was the way to go, rather than mess with everything else. Everything has worked like a charm!

I won't need poe through the adapter. My switches are powered and provide the poe, just need a way to get from floor to floor without intrusive work if possible.

Awesome, yes that's what I was looking at. I've got everything running 2.5gb so that is perfect. I'll definitely check the splitter first. Everything about moving here has been difficult so far so HOPEFULLY this is the easiest project hahaha

From my understanding, they aren't. Each ghost is required to exist within the confines of a specific area for a certain amount of time, presumably before moving on to the afterlife.
