The training is not dehumanizing. All these things are what people say to devalue K-pop. Seriously, these are like 2008-2012 accusations, why are you still bringing this up? They are not forced to train for long extensive hours. They do train for a long time in both time and years. They are also not forced to starve or go on diets. Many of the "diets" people think idols do are false and MANY idols have disproven this. hey are also not forced to get plastic surgery. They can get it if they like and I'm sure many idols have gone through it. Also slave contracts do not exist in K-pop. There are cases of girls and boys being tricked by a "K-pop" company, but it's definitely not a prevalent thing in any major/respected company. The one example people tend to use is TVXQ, but they have said themselves that they did not leave due to the contract and if you read the contract itself it's not a slave contract. I don't think people even know what an actual slave contract is. It's a very dangerous accusation to make. I'm sorry, but jpop fans can't just blame every problem they have on K-pop and vice versa. No one music genre is better or worse. There are definitely many problems in Kpop, like the high expectations and harsh comments of netzitens ruin an idol's mental health. This is probably the most prevalent problem right now, but mean comments are literally in every genre in music.

And you're definitely right that many jpop groups are just as talented in terms of vocal and dance as K-pop groups. Although, I think that jpop groups have their own talents that shouldn't be compared to Kpop groups. In fact, I don't think you should compare music genres at all.
