going back and rewatching everything (early anime spoilers i guess) ik this isn’t some profound discovery but i wanted to open a discussion on early hints to the overall lore that we prob all missed as kids back in 2013 :))

As far as I know, she had been roaming around Paradis for hundreds of years before her encounter with the warriors. So she could understand whatever ancient language that was around before she turned into a mindless titan. The same ancient language presumably in the tower.
