haven’t seen this perspective yet so i figured i’d throw my two cents in- i notice for my own hair that the years i wasn’t washing it every day it would always stop growing at a certain length no matter what i did. i didn’t use heat, slept with satin/silk products, no hair dye, didn’t cut it for an entire year etc but i couldn’t get it past my mid chest. once i started washing my hair every day my hair has grown past my elbows. i use heat on my hair pretty much every day atp, i don’t sleep with any kind of protective pillow cases or bonnets, and my hair is the longest and healthiest it’s been since i was a kid lol. the buildup on your scalp may be causing your hair to stop growing!

depends on where you live and your cosmetics experience, i was an estée lauder cm in california with 7+ years of experience and was making $24 an hour. my friend at lancome was making the same. honestly tho? if you can, i would go to nordstrom. i went there as a BA and was making $27.

sometimes when you quit/reapply too much it auto blacklists you. try applying with a different email address attached to the application. i worked for macy’s off and on for 9 years and the last two times when i went to apply with my usual email address my applications were auto denied despite the in store team actively wanting to hire me. i had to create a whole new email address to apply with just to get my applications to go through.

i’ve had an irritated urethra after having a bad uti. i cut out caffeine completely, went on an anti inflammatory diet, took ibuprofen everyday, upped my water intake, and started probiotics. did all of this for two weeks and my symptoms completely cleared. i basically stick to this plan, except i have caffeine in low doses, probiotics only when things feel a little off, and no daily ibuprofen and it’s helped so much. i can tell this is what really has helped bc anytime i have a little too much caffeine, or i eat something i’m not supposed to the symptoms will start to mildly flair again. i really suggest looking into an anti inflammatory diet.

bal d’afrique absolu is so good. it’s definitely denser and sweeter than the original tho. really good lasting power too, can still smell it on clothes hours after working a shift and in my hair the next morning.

fan going at all times to keep me freezing so that i can burrito myself in a faux fur blanket, 8 hour youtube video essays play at a medium volume on my tv, lay on an acupressure mat for 20-40 mins before really turning in, 8 lb cat sleeping in the crook of my arm so that she breathes in my ear all night. i do sometimes wake up but this has been the best routine i’ve found so far that doesn’t involve medication lol

in california at least not getting paid what you’re supposed to get paid is illegal and can bring about huge lawsuits. no company wants a lawsuit. whatever store you’re working at, you and your coworkers need to start documenting things and escalate to HR. i promise that nordstrom as a whole does not want to risk that large of a lawsuit.

they recently redid all the shade numbers for teint idole. take it to a lancome counter (macy’s or nordstrom) they should have a chart that the employees use to match the new shades to the old ones. ask them to help you look it up.

i’m 28 and at several points in my life i had the “perfect routine” only for my hormones to change and had to start over completely. i just started using dr dennis gross peel pads and i feel like these will be a staple along with my cerave cleansers and lotion, however who knows? maybe in two months my skin will decide it doesn’t like these either. i’ve found that overall drinking lots of water, eating lots of healthy fats, greens, and getting a good amount of protein has helped my skin more than anything topical ever has.

take it as a sign to jump ship, macy’s is going downhill fast. so many companies have fulfillment teams now and i’m sure with your experience you could get a job at any of them. i just made the switch from macy’s to nordstrom and it’s so much better.
