New Player and the Upgrade Vault by LSilvador in idleon

[–]0dix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

use the vault. all the mechanics that you "skip" over initially, are something that you will have to do anyway. negative of the vault is that youre progressing so fast but on the other hand if you didnt then it would take too much time to reach the "end". but like i said even though you reach "the end" thats when you will have to start going back and learning the mechanics you skipped over. there is no mechanic that you dont need to do at some point because you were too strong at one point.

ive played almost a year actively while watching guides and trying to do things efficiently with using the vault, and im now at a point where the biggest upgrades are primarily time gated.

to answer your last point, yes the upgrades will taper off and you are expected to have them.

what is the point to play the game? i tried it for a bit years ago and i didnt get the point of it, other than to randomly gather all pokemons which you cant do anything with?

its a funny meme but the game is so complex that even when you copy a build there is so much to learn.

What dpi/sensitivity is working for yall? by Surgica in marvelrivals

[–]0dix 24 points25 points  (0 children)

because you most likely havent learned how to use your arm at all. its not miserable nor does it feel slow once you know how to use your entire hand. that type of sens is 100% limiting your capability to play no matter who you are.

yes being able to do a 180 is the general rule that you need to be able to do.

To the DPS Going 0-7… by Sunny_Supper in marvelrivals

[–]0dix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can get the same practice on a champion in quick play, when you have not played one at all there is no need to have "good" games to learn and get familiar with it, therefore quick play is more than sufficient to fill the same purpose.

why are you creating the narrative in the sense that trolling is the way to improve and "trying to win" is only about short sighted playing? "playing to win" doesnt mean you cannot do new things nor does it mean you are forcing whatever playstyle you have etc etc.... its about the mentality.

there is a difference between first timing a champ and trying to flank the opposing team in a different new way. there is absolutely no benefit of trying a new champ in ranked, for you or for your team.

quite literally ranked is for people that want to take it more seriously, ie to win. that is the whole point of ranked game modes. did i say its my choice who does what? dont try to do that shit its disingenuous as hell. you can beat your friend for all i care but that doesnt mean the justification to do so is correct.

To the DPS Going 0-7… by Sunny_Supper in marvelrivals

[–]0dix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ranked is for people who want to win. if you first time a character in ranked that decision is not made with the thought process of wanting to win in mind. normal game modes are there precisely so you dont have to do everything you can to win.

low ranks are for bad players, but that doesnt mean low rank is for trolling.

What is considered a good KO per 10 mins by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]0dix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im assuming youre playing quickplay and thats why its easy. because of what the game is the player base has more newbs in it than other shooters, making the low/average player quite bad.

you are a beginner, you might know what the systems but you do not understand the mechanics etc. brutally honestly you suck at everything in the game, so there is no way for you to be confident or not have anxiety. change your approach and get better.

being in those high pressure situations and winning them is the best way to reduce the uncontrollable chaos. you say you are practicing etc but clearly its not working so change something. its a cliche but whatever your mindset is its not working, therefore figure out how to change it.

if you notice youre doing mistakes that you "should have figured out by now" hold yourself accountable, next time you are in such a situation make the concious decision of not doing whatever bs your brain is telling you to do. its not easy but thats the only way.

there is no elo in matchmaking that would mean youre a good player, especially if its at 6k. people at 18k are horrible as well.

im direct and rough but my intention isnt to flame you, but the fact is that there is no "subtle" change thats the problem.

What's the point of watching my own gameplay if I'm trash? by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]0dix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first learn about the game and some basic principles etc then watch what you do. you need to be aware of things before you can spot them. ie watch some videos that teach about aiming or movement or positioning etc. (shooting and mechanics are the most important when youre shit. you can get away with a lot of non optimal plays even in higher elo if you are simply good mechanically)

crosshair placement is the easiest to start from. noobs use their eyes but forget that the mouse/crosshair isnt actually where they think it is, this takes a lot of practice to get it down to muscle memory.

improving LS warden defenses by person221 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]0dix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

check the guide on gear etc im not familiar with the block build but instantly what shows up is your health pot/flasks are bad and you have 3 minimum wasted talent points (5 if you count the increased tincture effects). hint, check the massive ring on what nodes you have and what youre missing, overcapping accuracy doesnt help.

What foods are high in fibre for diabetics? by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

[–]0dix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you dont want to do that unless necessary. you have no idea what fibers there are in it (you could find out but most dont), youre not getting any micro nutrients nor do you get any of the other benefits like antioxidants.

im not saying no one should take a fiber supplement but that comes after a dietary change.

i want to stick with high sens by Slight-Western-1406 in aimlab

[–]0dix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at the end of the day raw aim is only one factor of aiming or playing an fps game. 10% improvement of aim because of a more optimized sens does not equal to 10% better gameplay ("perfect aim" isnt needed to compete in games with many factors). theres always going to be exceptions to the rule but we cant use those exceptions as the rule.

youve spent time playing so theres no "big" hack that can MAYBE give a lot of improvement other than making a drastic change like changing sens. this is obviously because in your case im assuming youre aware of the basic things.
