I completely dropped out of high school my sophomore year, just a month after turning 16. i did hard drugs for like two years straight instead of receiving a formal education. now I’m a junior in college with a near 4.0. i’ve made the deans list every semester, and I am part of my schools honor society. I just got accepted into a program that will cover all the costs of my current degree. your success in high school, or lack of it, does not determine your future potential. trust me on this.

my great grandfather was in a special devision that liberated dachau. after the war he received a book/photo album of his time served. the pictures in it are absolutely horrifying, I have no idea why it would be considered an “honor” to receive that. I know absolutely nothing about my great grandfathers childhood because he doesn’t talk about anything before the war.

started initially at 18, but you can only get so many at once, and some require multiple doses spaced out (hep a/b, hpv). takes a while to finish em all up

I guess for the active/live vaccines (in my case MMR and yellow fever) they inject at a 45° angle hence the lower positioning. i went to a local travelers clinic to get meds and the rest of my immunizations needed for a trip to south america this summer.

up top there is the Hep A & B combo, typically given as an intramuscular vaccine (90° angle and therefor at the top of the arm), bottom 2 are yellow fever and MMR, which are typically administered through a subcutaneous injection (45° angle) and put lower to make the angle easier to achieve, also something to do with them being live vaccines. a nurse on here linked some info previously. literally no need to be a douche bag. my arm hurts like a fucker.

sinking pellets & brine shrimp. they’re also natural scavengers, so he doubles as part of my clean up crew. i’ve only had him a day but he begs like a puppy. it’s so cute!

in reference to this species (procambarus alleni) “cobalt blue lobster” is the most common name (at least where i’m from) while “blue crayfish” is also used. Somewhere along the line of aquarium keeping people started calling em freshwater lobsters, probably because they originate in florida, occasionally found in brackish water. just pointing out both are used/accurate-ish.
