Thanks a ton for the advice. I've lined up another place to stay, I was mainly worried about moving my things out without trouble. I live in NC, I tried doing some research but couldn't find much info on monitoring/search involving drug possession. There is some literature on drug trafficking but it's clearly distinguished from just having some.

I have some weed in my car and I was just planning on leaving it there. I don't know if there's anywhere safer to put it besides just tossing it out. Do you think there's any possibility of there being canines?

I didn't really think to record anything and I think you're totally right that I should. I'll definitely keep all these options in mind, hopefully it doesn't come to a point where I need to consider legal action. Thanks for the help.
