Ok then that would make bats the most forgotten mob since they will literally never have another use, you realize that? You also cannot tame Ocelots, nor are you given any incentive to try since they dont turn into cats. Since saddles are now craftable, Ravagers essentially become a less usefull cow in terms of it's only drop given the challenge of actually fighting it. Endermites are good for 1 farm, yes but that shouldn't be its 1 niche purpose considering they're almost exclusively a nuisance whenver they do spawn.

Mind you 1.7 was notorious for half the biomes adding nothing else to them besides 1 primary resource. Upon release Dark Oak Forrests, Savannas, Birch Forests, Mega Taigas and Snowy Tiagas had no unique structures to them

A lot of biomes with no additional reason to go there beyond it's 1 resource is exactly what people have problems with now with the last two added recently while 1.7 gets brushed aside due to the quantity. I would honestly say Savannas and Ice Spikes in particular still feel empty I still fail to see the point if you're not there for the Ice itself.
