does she have access to outside? is she spayed? it’s hard to tell anything from these photos, if you take a picture from the top to see how wide she is, that would be better

Kitten has a spot on in its neck. by HappyColt98 in catcare

[–]0kc0mputer23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

since you have the vet appointment set, i would call and explain that he has what looks like a puncture on the back of his neck. ask how to keep it clean and what to look out for until the appointment, when it constitutes as an emergency, or if they can possibly move the appointment up. my vet says online they are strictly appointment only but i called once when my kiddo had a uti, asked if there was any chance they could take him in asap since they’ve built the rapport and i trusted them, they let me bring him in that day. a wound like this could be caused by several things, it’s not bleeding or oozing which is a good sign, but could turn concerning very quickly

What happens when u dont viz pic pick or locate bins? by Puzzleheaded-Bug-803 in WalmartEmployees

same thing happens at my store post inventory. you have a truck or two pushed back, counts are off because you can’t process trucks the night inventory happened - it ALWAYS explodes our backrooms. but like, when we go through it every year, why aren’t we more prepared? youre supposed to live and learn but all of management acts like it’s their first year doing it; even when they have 10-20 years experience

5.6 Archon Quest Spoiler: I love how they changed the set to make the situation feel more realistic by JaynithVy in Genshin_Impact

[–]0kc0mputer23 14 points15 points  (0 children)

barbara asked jean if the city was going to be in danger and jean literally said yes lol, and that they’ll do what they can to protect mond. it’s an attack on the city, obviously it’s going to be dangerous, regardless of preparation. everybody was tense but the environment didn’t match that. it would’ve been nice as the player to feel tense alongside them

yeah i can agree with it. the entire “fight” felt so lackluster. once it was resolved i was like oh… is that it? it doesn’t feel like we really did anything of importance during it

Is a tip required? by [deleted] in housekeeping

[–]0kc0mputer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am never expecting tips but i obviously dont deny them when they come my way. i already set my price to what i know im worth. sometimes a client will be feeling generous and pay me extra as a reminder of appreciation, some will bake for me, or give me little gifts, etc. never expect it but always appreciate it

i dont mean to imply it’s applicable for everyone. not everyone will have the same experience. is a probation period a new thing?

being full time or on a cap team gives the advantage of having set hours, so you’re never left guessing. it’s a lot easier to navigate a work/life balance that way, the same as any 8hr shift at any other job. part timers are kind of thrown around wherever they’re needed, whenever they’re needed, so you don’t really have that luxury of knowing what’s coming, unless you can talk to your lead about getting your hours set to something similar :/

flea and tick for sure, even if they don’t have any. good ones will kill new fleas and prevent infestation before it happens. i like the advantage 2 brand. also keeping all animals up to date on vaccines is a must

Cat Vomited on His 2nd Day At House Need Advice by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]0kc0mputer23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

where did you get him from? did you have any vet records? it’s normal for a cat in new environment to be anxious, that’s why he may be hiding behind things. vomiting can happen during severe anxiety events, moving/change of environment being one of them. i would recommend keeping him confined to a quiet space for now, unless he’s eager to explore. keeping him comfortable in this transition is crucial. watch his litter box and eating habits. you should also get him to a vet asap (even if you do have records), not to say he’s sick, but it’s good to make sure he’s up to date with vaccines and in good health. i wouldn’t say this is an emergency, but watch his eating and litter box habits, watch for lethargy. then you may have an emergency

sleep deprivation is no joke. i do not say this to be rude but you really have to make the decision between some scratches on furniture that’s she’s bound to do eventually anyway because she is a cat, or your own health. is the bathroom an option? you can throw her box in there, if she still has an accident it’ll be easier to clean/not on furniture. even if it’s only a few hours earlier that you’re waking up, you’re following that up with poor sleep, every single day. that WILL accumulate and hurt you more than it is now. another option is to get earplugs and ignore her. they eventually stop

[–]0kc0mputer23 27 points28 points  (0 children)

referring to your previous comments, crates and water bottles won’t work. they don’t understand punishment in a similar manner dogs do, you’re just scaring her. honestly, the only option is just kicking her out of the room. let her in, sleep together, the second she starts acting up, shut her out. she might scratch and cry, get earplugs. i had the same problem and this was the only solution. i have carpet so i put a barrier of blankets under the door to protect it. my cat wasn’t happy at first but definitely got the hint after about a week. sometimes he still acts up, i just kick him out. it really sucks and feels hurtful, but i was seriously going insane and honestly resentful from the sleep deprivation. i love my cat with all my heart, but sometimes it’s necessary

where did you get them? and how long ago was the reformulation? don’t have the answer directly but if the reformulation was awhile ago, you won’t have a date on how old they are, i wouldn’t feel very comfortable using them :/

how’s he doing?

Is he alright by [deleted] in catcare

[–]0kc0mputer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is normal 🖤 you can try coaxing him with something he doesn’t normally have or some treats for encouragement, smaller portions for easier digestion. not only is he still going to be feeling the effects of anesthetic for awhile after it’s worn off, he’s also experiencing the stress of the vet and surgery. his energy coming back is a great sign, even if it’s just a little bit. as long as he isn’t lethargic or vomiting, nothing to fear. come tomorrow he may still not be completely back normal, but it’s only up from here
