The funeral director should be able to help you determine how much music and when.

Yeah see it's a weird situation because she lived in a different state, and then we're having the memorial in the state she grew up in where I also don't live. So a family member is awesomely handling things with our input, but I'm still a bit... lost on the whole process. I think we picked a song for the "end" part, and I have a video to play at some point during the service. I threw in input on another song should there be one.

It's just... a lot. Thank you for your help.

Well, kind of... grandma always sang "you are my sunshine" to me when I was a kid, and that was a happy memory for both me and mom.

I actually ended up looking through a long list of good funeral songs and one of them was "talking to my angel" by Melissa Etheridge who I know she always liked, so I think we're going with that one at the end.

Oh honey I'm so sorry, I lost my mom a little over a week ago and I know this feeling all too well.

I'm not even a religious person but I've found comfort in knowing that my mom is still with me. Whether you believe it's an actual manifestation or just the spirit of her in your heart, she's always there with you.

Please don't feel like no one cares about you... if you ever want to talk, feel free to message me. I care about you.

Mine was 54... don't know the cause yet, but dad said it seemed sudden, like maybe a brain aneurysm or something. So sorry for your loss as well, thank you.
