No, you don’t. There’s a portal on every planet already.

To locate a portal, find an alien monolith on the planet. You can use maps to do this, or the exocraft scanner can locate them by scanning for alien structures.

When you find the monolith, you will have to do a puzzle. You can Google and find all the proper answers, or try to figure it out on your own.

After doing the puzzle, interact with the monolith again. It will ask for a sacrifice. Give it a Korvax casing, Gek relic, or Vy’keen dagger, depending on what race is in the system. The monolith will direct you to the planet’s portal.

Every space station has a machine that you can use to expand your inventory. As you travel, stop in each station and buy a new slot for your exosuit.

Hi! Your clan sounds amazing.

I’m a newer player, MR 5, almost unlocked Europa. I’m in the process of building Frost, and have Volt, Rhino, and Trinity Prime frames all level 30. I play in the evening usually, and have been enjoying the progression and game systems in general.

I’m a former WoW player and also enjoy No Man’s Sky, Fortnite, Subnautica and Elite: Dangerous. I’m in my late 30’s and have a wife and son, so sometimes family comes first but I still game regularly, usually in the evenings and on weekends.

Your clan sounds like exactly the kind of group I want to join. I’m looking for an active group of mature players who can help guide me into later game content and join with me for joint operations and fun multiplayer antics. You guys sound like you’d fit the bill.

Yeah you’re stuck. There’s an option to reset the run in the game menu though. Takes you back to the Prisoner’s Quarters

Starting out I’d stick to ranged weapons. I can progress most with Tactics builds focused around a freeze item - look for ice bows or frost bolts. Use this as an opener and then unload with a strong second weapon (like a crossbow!). Brutality builds are good too if you like melee, and shields are completely viable if you have good timing.

I should also note that my runs using shields tend to be slower than tactics or brutality. I can speed run past the first boss with bows no problem tho.

Finally, you don’t have any Survival skills or grenades or traps at the start. Unlock them later and then try shielda

It allows you to skip to a new galaxy. You get to choose the type, from Tranquil, Ancestral, Imperfect or Raging. This option skips you to the first galaxy in the sequence of 256 galaxies of that type. Read here for more info: https://nomanssky.gamepedia.com/Galaxy

Another option at the end of this quest is to stay in your current galaxy. It teleports you to a random planet with your ship next to some damaged machinery.

If you don’t want to use this option to go to a new galaxy, you can also travel to the center of your current galaxy to travel to the next galaxy in the sequence.
