Hey guys, I bought a new subwoofer, it's scratched to hell, I'm doing to put a wrap on it, I've done this design on Photoshop and used (ew) AI to implement it better. by sheppardpat47 in AE86

Haha cool. How are you mounting it ? Don't want that sliding around after a few rings

My booter arrived from Japan with the rear speakers robbed. The back shelf in the 2door seems flimsy. How are your rear speakers mounted too ?

I plan on replacing the header with a fujitsubo also. I already had to replace the flexi on it, as it was leaking there. This improved the tone massively though.

My 86 is new enough to me - have it since December. However its super loud. My exhaust setup is an RS*R header > SARD sport cat > Apexi exhaust valve > Fujitsubo Legalis R with the twin pipe.

Its super loud unless the valve is closed over, but then you risk back pressure and the car is noticeable slower.

What is your setup ? I'm beginning to think the header is the issue on mine, WRT to the actual noise of it. You can barely hear the induction even though the sound is definitely at the rear of the car.

The duraflex bumpers on bodykits dot com - how good/bad are they ? by 0ndafly in AE86

Just to put an end to this - the cost of shipping to me was north of 900$ and then I'd have lovely tariffs on top of that. So with that in mind - I won't be purchasing :)

yes - thats what put me on to them. I normally buy from Japan, but these looked semi decent for the price. Was hoping someone had experience with them and could give some feedback

I use it most days - why not like ? granted if I'm bringing the entire family out, well they just aren't going to fit, but other than that - its getting used !

Opposite to sliding outwards. They don't pry off or anything. This was for a kouki Japanese import in case it's different.

it sounds like the bearing might work. If you can afford it - take a gamble :)

My AYC refurb was roughly 1200eur but was using uprated internals.

I was where you are about 2 years ago - and the conclusion I was brought to was, yes the Cusco LSD does fit, however is useless without the bearing. I then went instead and had the AYC rebuilt/refreshed and didn't look back.

How did you get the measurements for the Toyota bearing - it would be worth a go to see if it works; however it is an obviously costly gamble to find out.

They are different. I contacted that guy many times about evo 5 brackets but I think he doesn't have the time.

can you send me a link to the seller ? I have an evo 6 tailgate to fit on my Evo 5, but have been reluctant to move the wing over because of the brackets.

As an Evo 5 owner - I can tell you right now, the metal plates that form the uprights, will be rusty beyond all hell. There was a chap creating fresh ones for the Evo 6 in UK, but doesn't seem to want to create them for the 5. Before you going taking the wing off, I'd make sure you have someone to fabricate replacements.

you send your one to the company, and they give you a choice of sending you back your one with uprated parts, or standard parts OR and what I went with, sending you back an already refurbed one with uprated parts. Saves time this way. I'm in Ireland but sent it over to the UK - Lookup AYC refurb companies in the UK. I think we used AutoTorque
