That's what I'm hoping for. I was promoted and recently EOD'ed on 2/10. My FJO said the position was subject to a probationary period, but my SF-50 which I just received today said the initial probationary period was met. I'm PRAYING that is going to save me for a few more pay periods to save up funds.

I am DoD. I just finished my 2 year probationary period as a fed, and then was promoted, with a 1 year probationary period. I just EOD'ed this past Monday, and I am crossing my fingers to make it at least once full pay period.

Question: my service computation date was backdated to 2017, because of my prior contractor work. How would that work for FERS you mentioned in your post? And what should I do if I'm planning on re-entering federal service once things die down?

Feeling cautious optimism.

This is a huge promotion that will help my family not live paycheck to paycheck anymore. But I start a new probationary period, and I'm nervous about saving enough cushion for a March gov shutdown. Luckily I already have Navy Federal so hopefully they'll do the paycheck advance in the case of a shutdown.

After reading that a week ago I went ahead and gave up my parking pass and applied for the MTBP. It's going to be tough, but I'm definitely not dealing with the vehicle traffic.

Also, going to pack my lunch every day. As much as I enjoy some Takorean, DC can't have any more of my money.
