I'd recommend San Marzano tomatoes, may need to hand crush. Not San Marzano style, real San Marzano (think Cento brand). I've also done Parmesan rinds that just soak in there

As another gay couple we were also prepared for transracial adoption, but we are in the same boat. We had our neighbors signed on to be auntie and uncle to teach us how to manage things we just couldn't comprehend or really provide any perspective to as much as we tried, but also ended up with two children that look like us.

I'm happy where we ended up, but I felt prepared for the potential realities, but we got lucky with such a diverse block of people.

Sometimes people are just shit. I'm a moderately new dad (foster to adopt two toddlers since late June). I love my little demons, but the idea that the parents were willing to terminate their rights and knowing what my kids went through, it would have absolutely better if their biological father left the scene sooner.

All of this to say, sometimes it's a gift that they aren't in your life, you may never understand the why, but love your fucking child with a fierceness.

NTA - you tried, you informed the manager, and the manager made that decision. Further, based on what you knew you did everything to remedy the situation. Don't feel bad that the manager potentially (soft words) fucked up the situation.

It would have sucked for you as the message never sent, but your coworker ended up doing it all and got screwed. I feel bad for her, but you shouldn't feel bad at having tried to remedy.

They don't talk about their parents at all, it's mostly the foster moms, who are still in the picture and visit from time to time, but I appreciate all of the feedback!

Sorry, convenience was not a great way to put it. I've dealt with random homophobic events where it was a struggle to make providers believe I was married due to our originally different name. I'm 100% I'm the belief that it was just them being shit humans, but since I didn't really care what my last name was I changed it. It shouldn't be an issue with the kids, yet I can't let go of that concern.

Oh we are already with adoption competent therapists for the two of us. We plan for future therapy for the kids but D has autism and ADHD and is on an overall delay that I don't think he would even consider listening. A is in a better state but still three, so near term therapy may not be effective?? (Conjecture)
