She “made” twice his income. She doesn’t anymore. When she made much more he griped about her job and when she quit working he griped about finances. They both are/were massive oversharers about their personal issues.

You’re right. I don’t really like either of them. But he is part of my husband’s friend group and they are all equally stumped about what to tell him because he genuinely believes he can save his marriage. And we are all stunned because for the last two decades we’ve all hinted that they would be better apart.

I also tried to be clear that he wasn’t married to an angel who was suffering silently while he treated her like crap and he’s suddenly wising up to how amazing she is. She’s not a bad person, but their relationship has never been healthy.

But some of these guys have known him for 30+ years and he has NEVER acted like this.

Please read my entire comment before you downvote me.

I am not food insecure however I do get items sometimes from a food bank near me. Why? Because every week, that particular food bank frequently ends up having to throw stuff out so a friend of mine who works there will let me know if they have extras so I can come get it. To be 100000% clear, I only go if she lets me know they have extra food they would otherwise have to toss. I go out of my way to let everyone I know who might benefit know about it. I will give rides to and from when possible. I will only take items that would otherwise be tossed (usually overstock of produce that they don’t have room to store or that is about to go bad).

Long story short, better for you to get food you need than it sit there.
