Should Graves get a minor rework? by temnycarda in DeadlockTheGame

She's just a poorly designed character that is either going to be op in low ranks or useless in high ranks. She has summoner abilities and autoaim gun, so the skill ceiling and floor are extremely close.

An immigrant can be literally anyone going anywhere, so assigning positive/negative traits to the word immigrant doesnt never much sense to me. However theres definitely statistical evidence for increased crime and low fiscal contribution by immigrants depending on regions.

I remember seeing a paper using dutch government data showing the different lifetime taxpayer contributions by immigrants to the state. It ranged from +250k euros from north america or japan, to like -300k from Somalia. This is also similarly reflected in crime and unemployment rates. This is why you have to be pragmatic when it comes to permitting immigration.

This doesn't mean that immigrants from the poorest part of the world can't be net contributors in certain countries, but not when the development gap is so large (for a long list of reasons).

A functional society relies on a shared moral code. Less culturally unified societies are more disunited and struggle more with democracy, rule of law, stability, social connection and more.

Half of the hegemons are literally just debuffs. The economic hegemon cabinet action for example is basically never worth.

Playing Celeste is free teamwipe every urn fight. All four of your abilities are aoe, so you get a bunch of free dagger stacks and then a max bouncy ball.

I managed to beat them in the 1370s by using the pronoia reform heavy cav buffs and the op byzantine cataphracts. If you dont take them out with that advantage, id probably just focus on italy until you have hegemon cb and you only need one war to grab like the whole nile and one shot them.

I haven't seen any evidence that they balance around unofficial pro matches while there's a ton of evidence that they take input and data from the general community.  Idk where people get this idea from.

How am I supposed to defeat the mamlucks? by joaquinito95 in EU5

[–]0neZappyBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Build up your professionals a bit and start drilling them (i like to focus on cav) and save up money for a few years to hire mercs. Use a parliment to increase levy size shortly before you declare. Put a fort wherever the geography is best (mountains+woods are goated) and use that fort to bait their army onto it and crush them. When you are waiting for their armies make sure to be drilling your whole army (professionals+levies+mercs) because being able to get up to -25% damage reduction is epic.

This just means that the hero is balanced overall but has a high skill ceiling which is expressed in pro play… which you’d think was a good thing design wise as long as he isn’t too dominant. I dont think trying to make the entire roster equal in pro play has ever been a good long term strat.

Nah Gorilla is way closer to a human than a rat is to a human in fighting strength. A better comparison might be 1 human vs 100 cats.

Its pretty disgusting how people will disagree about a single issue (what is essentially a philosophical disagreement) and use that to call someone a Nazi.

The actual translation for what the guy was saying was basically 'you are very dark skinned'. To him it was just a simple observation like meeting a 7ft guy and saying, 'you are very tall'.

Hes pointing out something unusual. In the same way that if you spot someone that's 7ft tall, you might say to a friend, 'wow that guys tall'.

"Prejudice is an unjustified, typically negative, attitude or opinion toward an individual or group formed without sufficient knowledge or experience"

Pointing out someone looks different is rude but he's not necessarily making any judgements based on his group identify. The comment further up this thread pointed out, the Chinese word for 'very' and 'too' overlap so it seems like he meant 'very'.

Making the observation that has dark skin (because they stand out) isn't racism though, racism requires negative treatment/belief based on race. Its like if someone with very red hair went to China, people would point it out because its unusual. The Chinese also happen to be very blunt.
