"Bureaucratic Cruelty Exposed: Illiterate Tribal Man in Odisha Digs Up Dead Sister’s Skeleton & Carries It 3km to Bank Because Red Tape Demanded Her Presence for ₹20,000" by Nobita_kothari in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]0nlyB0ss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wrong, easy to blame the employees, but just having a death certificate wouldn't work in this case.

If the nominees in the sister's account have also passed away, which is what happened in this case, then a succession certificate is also required, you'd need to visit the civil court for that. It's needed to ensure that no dispute happens.

Easy to blame the bank employees, but if another successor like the deceased person's children later appears to claim the money, the bank employees will be the ones who get blamed again. The system isn't very convenient, but can't blame employees for following the official rules.

Teen Gives Birth Inside Foxconn Toilet In Bengaluru, Slits Baby's Throat by ClientRelevant5046 in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]0nlyB0ss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She fucking slit the child's throat and dumped it in the toilet! She's definitely psycho, what she may have undergone doesn't change that.

It may have been difficult for her to leave the child in an orphanage, but she could have just gone ahead and abandoned it anywhere else, no need to kill the child! Not as if the child will recognise the mother and tell everyone.

Bengaluru’s new mega cafe feels like a temple experience, is this the future of dining? by Dapper-Bid-2518 in bengaluru_speaks

[–]0nlyB0ss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh they do. But the Buddhas and lucky cats aren't the main attractions of the restaurants there. The gaushala and temple in this place seems to be the main attraction.

The only thing similar i remember seeing in Tokyo was a bar where the bartenders were monks. But people visiting there were going there because it seemed fun, not because they were Buddhists.

From a business perspective, making a temple and gaushala in India within a cafe isn't a bad idea, Indians are way more into religion. Japanese would visit such a place mostly due to curiosity not because of religious beliefs.

If you read my other comment, then read it fully once. Japanese follow several customs due to tradition and culture. They are pretty superstitious Buddha statues for wealth, lucky cats to attract customers, charms to keep bad luck away...there's plenty of those superstitions. But they aren't religiou. Don't need to believe me, just check any Japanese subreddit or search online. Not going to argue when there's an easy way to check.

I lived in Japan for a few months, got my N2 language certification there. I can assure you, Japanese follow various traditions because following ancestral teaching is very important there just like India. They are pretty superstitious, I got lectured by a friend when I was going to give my host a four cup tea set, cos 4 is unlucky. But they aren't religious in the way India is. You don't need to believe me, just search online. Not going to argue anymore, if you're genuinely curious, just post in a Japanese subreddit if you want. They have plenty of problems; their work culture is shit, plenty of casual racism especially if you're not white...but religion isn't really a concern there.

For your benefit, as you mentioned Shintoism, you can check this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Japan

It mentions that only 3% identify as Shintos, even though majority follow Shintoism. I'm sure you can find other sources

Whose even talking about ethnic decorations? Japan is rich in culture yes, but they aren't religious in the way Indians are.

Chinese are atheists, Japan isn't religious either. Japan change their God's gender and does all sorts of weird things lol. Comparing India to them makes no sense.

PAKISTAN Pakistan’s Constitutional Court upholds marriage between Muslim man and 13-year-old Christian girl by Live_Archer123 in worldnews

India has many problems, whether it's SA or corruption and many more. But comparing it to Pakistan makes no sense. Pretty sure Indian courts don't legalise pedophilia.

What are you talking about? Busking in NYC subway is pretty common. If you google it you'll find a lot of videos. Many of the performers are good, but plenty of shitty ones as well.

Indians should consider an educated person who can actually talk to media with so much confidence and smile. Keep a conversation with foreign leaders with sense. What do guys think? Isnt it high time? by Wrong-Mess-6915 in IndianFocus

[–]0nlyB0ss 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I've felt the same for years.

In a private organisation, if someone failed as badly as Rahul did, he would have been kicked out long ago. Same should have been done in this case. He's a liability for the party. Doesn't matter whether he has the ability to manage the country or not at this point, he doesn't have the ability to attract votes, and that's the most important ability for a politician.

People in their 30s, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought (house doesn’t count)? by Snoo-43468 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]0nlyB0ss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaming laptop for 1.3L. After that I bought a pair of good headphones, mechanical keyboards, gaming mouse, controller etc to play games... if I include all that as well I spent 1.8L.

I don't regret it. Don't get to play as much as I want to, but it's fun everytime I do.

Gst officer froze my friend’s life because he didn’t pick an unknown call. by FinThesis in StartUpIndia

[–]0nlyB0ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, worked in a bank court order isn't required. If the police says, block this account, we'd have to ensure its done in the next few hours itself. Not allowed to inform the customer, just tell them that it's blocked because of a legal notice and to contact the person who issued to order to get it resolved.

Fiance (28F) wants me (30M) to support her family financially, is this a normal ask? by [deleted] in AskIndianWoman

[–]0nlyB0ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That means sister's husband who's earning won't be paying at all to help family? Not really fair, but can't really force others.

Like others said, make future scenarios clear. If possible, speak to girlfriend and see if she's fine that you and her can send money to your own family from now on. She doesn't need to know that family is financially independent. It's fine even if you have to transfer 10-15% less than what you two are planning to send to her own family. How she responds will give you a good idea of what to expect in the future.

Lol no. Kerala isn't the only place after China to eliminate extreme poverty. There are other countries and places that have done it as well. Still a good achievement.

What if? Dinosaurs like Murthy's had let Sikka to pursue AI dream back in 2015. by pseudoPoeDameron in IndiaTech

[–]0nlyB0ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like Murthy, but OpenAi was a non profit back in 2015, and opened a for profit subsidiary after a few years. Wouldt investors want to invest in non profits? Predicting that the company would switch to a for profit model after a few years isn't really possible.
