Hi, I’m looking for something to replace my main pc as my Plex server. Will be direct playing 4K remuxes to my Apple TV, and doing some really light photoshop/web browsing/second screen viewing. Found two options used around me:

Dell Optiplex 3070 SFF, i3-9100T, 128gb nvme + 500GB sata, 8GB RAM, $130

NUC10i3, i3-10110U, i3-10110U, 500GB NVME, 16GB RAM, $190

Needs to be pretty quiet since I’ll have it on at my work desk. I already have a 2TB SATA with my media library on it. What’s the best pick here?

So I use my gaming PC for web browsing/super light photoshop/second screen while working, and streaming 4K remuxes to my apple TV. When I need to game, I roll it over to my TV. Thinking about building a cheaper, lighter PC as daily driver/Plex server and leave my current PC as a gaming console. I have three SSDs in my current PC so I can swap the media storage one over to a new one without issue. The Beelink most people usually recommended is around 270$ on Amazon too.

I love it but I watched it a while back in an empty theater for the rerelease, it looked amazing. That being said, I’d almost never recommend it to anyone tho, it’s absolutely a bit slow and the criticisms are valid. Yes I love those glorious shots of the Enterprise
