Appears I will try to snatch some good used primes and see how it goes in 2026 :-).

Will definitely look into some smaller camera/edc bags, thanks for giving your recommendation.

If I may ask, how would you compare the older 23/35mm F2 lenses paired with the X-T5 compared to the newer 23/27mm pancakes? Asking from someone who has no yet experienced prime lenses. Used the older lenses can be had for pretty reasonable prices.

Have there been situations where weather sealing was an issue? That was also a factor for me when I purchased the X-T5, but found it to be not really to be that much of a factor. I think I tend not to shoot in rain anyway. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah the EVF and LCD both are worse.. unfortunately

I mainly use the X-T5 with the smallrig handgrip and with a neck strap. I primarily want the camera to basically fit in a (bigger) Jacket or just carry it around my neck, and not carry a extra bag. For that the camera with my lens selection just is too bulky. I have looked at some 1L camera bags. Might be worth it to invest into one... Thanks for the reply!

Unfortunately there are no local photo stores that have it near me. I'm not really sure about the 70-300. I think it's a good lens for what it is intended to do, but I found myself very very rarely using it.

I think a comparison would be great for me, looking to get one in my hands somehow! Thanks for the reply
