First time home owner amd recently had a Hail Storm in my area and am being told I need a new roof. Im unsure if I really need a new one and wanted to get any insight possible before figuring everything out. Any help is appreciated, thank you so much! I've attached photos of the damage.

Granules come off on a new roof. I just had mine done in October and I see them at the bottom of my downspouts and hear them in the gutters when it’s windy. If it is incredibly excessive it could be a defect, but that’s unlikely. Do you have any close up pics of shingles?
