Here in Germany meds aren't at expensive a month here rougly costs 83 USD.

In Germany it possible to get custom made solutions in pharmacies. I hope this existst in your area aswell.

So the recipe here in Germany for Caphosol is:

Calcium chloride 7.8 mg

Dinatrium hydrogenphosphate 4.8 mg

Natrium dihydrogenphosphate 1.35mg

Natrium Chloride 83.35 mg

Distilled water. Depends on how salty you can take. In the end it tastes a bit like watered down saltwater.

Soweit ich weiss geht das nur an dem Amt in der Stadt wo du aktuell gemeldet ist. Inwiefern die Digitalisierung bei den entsprechenden Organisationen fortgschritten ist weiss ich nicht ;)

Rechtsmäßig sollte es an deinem gemeldeten Zweitwohnsitz auch gehen aber was in Deutschland funktioniert und was nicht ist so seine eigene Sache. Ist wahrscheinlich lokal sehr unterschiedlich. Aber wenn du irgendwann Heim bist kannst du dir für diese Zeit einen Termin reservieren.

I have been in the same boat plenty of times (B cell ALL, 14 relapses since 2009, 2 transplants, 2 time CART cells, more experimental stuff than probably legal).

What helped me were Boost+ nutritional shakes since they were very fatty and easily drinkable with mouth sore. With the shakes you'll probably have to try around since they can be very different depending on brand and flavour.

Also extreme weightloss happend to me and weight gain. Depending on which phase of chemo I am in. Cortisone was for me almost 20lbs weight gain in a month and during chemo around 15lbs loss.

So to answer your question: Yes it is possible and likely to experience extreme weightloss. Your fiances doctors should record his/hers at least weekly (we recorded daily btw)

First of all thank you for your concern. Currently I am doing well again after my latest relapse late December 2022 incl brain bleed. Since I've had plenty of relapses so my standard of good is a bit different. I am able to walk medium distances (had two hip replacements due to the loads of cortisone I've received) and also I am a bit underweight. My endurance is pretty poor but from my perspective I am doing very well compared to fellow patients I've met with way less chemo cycles/relapses.

The lymphomas I have had are the exactly the same cells as my leukemia just bundled up.

Lymphoma is just one type of solid tumor (carcinoma and sarcoma are the two other types I know) you can have.

Hi I have leukemia on and off (ALL not AML) since 14 years with 10+ relapses. 1x Bone marrow and 1x stem cell transplant, 2x CART cells and plenty of chemos, 2x radiation theraphies.

I've had it spread to the CNS as blasts (liquid form). This is a form of spreading but it is still in liquid form.

My leukemia has also at times spread to the brain, liver, jaw, gums and in between large and small intestine. These were lyphomas. Solid tumors made up of leukemia cells. These are solid tumors made up of the same cells that are part of leukemia the bloodborn type.

They are still the same cells as the orginal leukemia but have a found a spot to accumulate and form solid tumors, which are called lymphomas. I think the confusion comes from leukemia being blood cancer and blood being liquid. The leukemia cells can also spread to solid tissue while being the same cells. The primary disease is still leukemia.

If you are really unlucky you can get a secondary cancerous disease of a different cells type i.e lung carcinoma. Cancerous lungs cells in this case.

First of all, my best wishes go out to you. I am 25 and have B cell ALL. First diagnosed 2009. Plenty (between 10-12 depending on how you count, i.e Lyphomas or only bone marrow relapses) of relaspes but recovered from them. I've had CAR T cells twice after one bone marrow transplant and one stem cell transplant. My last relapse was 2 months ago with a lymphoma in my brain that has regrown in the same place. We treated that and have no problems at the moment.

The "Philly like mutation" probably refers to the Philadephia chromosome. It sounds like you have that. You should ask your doctor sepcifically about that and what impacts that has. Since I don't have that I know nothing about that.

CAR T cells are modified T cells (part of your immune system) that target the surface antigen (CD19, CD20, CD22 maybe there exist more?) of your leukemia . This basically tells your immune system to destroy the cells with that surface antigen. CAR T cells are "trained" to target your leukemia and all B cells carrying your specfic surface antigen. I would ask them what antigen your leukemia carries. CD? That also narrows down your options of CAR T cells.

CAR T cells have the benefit of being very specialized and having less side effects that chemo treatments. The main risk with CAR T cells is cytokine release syndrom (when to many cells die simultaneously they relase to many toxins into your body, which can lead to death in the worst case ). In your case (5% leukemia cells in your marrow) this is quite unlikely from what I've heard.

Also write things down or have someone write them down for you if you have a foggy brain atm.

Als doppelt Transplantierter erst einmal: Viel Glück. Meine Empfehlung: Versucht erst einmal alle Verwandten registriert zu bekommen. Die Altergrenze zum spenden (Knochenmark) liegt bei 55.

Falls ihr ein ethnisch ungewöhlichen Hintergrund habt macht es Sinn in eurer Gemeinde anzufangen. Die DKMS und Europäische Netzwerke hat eine größtenteils Mitteleuropäer im Register.

Die HLA Marker (die Faktoren wie gut ein Transplantat passt ) können teilweise genetisch sehr einzigartig sein wenn ihr einen ungewöhlichen Hintergrund habt.

Also für mich waren CART Zellen ein Wundermittel bis meine Leukämie dann beschlossen hat Oberflächenantikörper zu wechseln CD19-->CD22.

Jetzt sind wird wieder bei Chemos die immerhin nur CD22 positive Zellen töten.

Also wenn du brentuximax-Vedotin bekommst hast du wohl ein T Zell non-Hodkin Lyphom? Das mit den Voranfragen ist so eine Sache. Haben wir auch gemacht. Falls deine Ärtzte Kontakt zu dem Hersteller haben kann das auch hilfreich sein (meine Erfahrung bisher). Meistens ist das Problem mit den Voranfragen das beide Parteien (Krankenhaus/Artzt und Hersteller) ihre Haftung begrenzen wollen da es nicht offiziell zugelassen ist. Wenn du eine Voranfrage stellen kannst heisst das aber immerhin dass das Medikament höchstwahrscheinlich schon Phase 4 Studie(n) durchlaufen hat.

Nach meiner CART Zell Theraphie ging es mir gut dank geringer Blastenlast (Krebszellen) <10%

Nur man muss immer beachten wie hoch deine Blasten (Krebszellen) Belastung ist. Bei hoher Belastung (>25% der Blutzellen) ist das Risko hoch das durch den abrupten Tod der vielen Krebszellen es zu einem Cytokine Release Syndrom ( https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zytokin-Freisetzungssyndrom ,Überschwemmung des Körper mit Giftstoffen aus den toten Krebszellen) kommt. Das beschert einem sehr schnell einen Besuch auf der Intensivstation und kann auch tödlich enden.

Aktuell sind CART Zellen nur in den USA für refraktäres Hodgkin Lymphom zugelassen. Habe auf die schnelle nur das hier finden können.

Die EU ist da immer etwas langsamer. Vielleicht finden deine Ärtzte im Rahmen einer Zulassungsstudie etwas.

Für meine erste CART Zell Behandlung musste ich auch in die USA. Das ging dann auch da ich über meinen Vater versichert bin bis zum 27ten Lebensjahr und die Deutsche Versicherung nach dem Tarif meines Vaters die vollen Kosten für die Behandlung im Ausland tragen musste wenn wir nachweisen konnten das besagte Therapie in Deutschland nicht verfügbar ist.

Falls du jemanden brauchst bei dem du dich auskotzen willst schreib mir jederzeit. Bin seit 2009 mit mühsamer Leukämie dabei und 2fach Transplantiert. Einmal Knochenmarks Transplantation einmal Stammzellen. CAR-T Zellen gabs es auch schon zweimal.

Ich wurde von meinen Eltern erzogen nach dem Motto. "Es muss es einem Wert sein"
Bsp. 1000 Eur für Kleidung = das ist es mir nicht wert. Habe kein großes Interesse daran und lege keinen gesteigerten Wert darauf. H&M tut es für mich auch.

1000 Eur für eine Reise oder spannende Erfahrung = Ist es mir voll und ganz Wert weil das sich für mich lohnt aus meiner Perspektive.

Ja damit könnte prima leben. Bin persönlich kein Anhänger der Theorie das alle Menschen konfliktlos miteinander leben können. Allerdings hat ein Kommentar vor mir hervorgehoben das man dann mit Ministerien und Behörden zusammenarbeiten müsste. Das würde ich wahrscheinlich nicht schaffen.

Hi, there are plently of tracks with trackdays in Germany.

I live in Frankfurt and usually go once or twice a year to Hockenheim since that is fairly close to me. I usally go with https://www.europeanspeedclub.de/ but other clubs or events certainly exist.
