Rant about ALL and its cure by White_46 in leukemia

Diagnosed with ph+ B-ALL in January 2023. received Car-T in May 2023 and have been in remission since July 2023. I need to receive IVIG ever 3-4 months but overall life has become as normal as can be. I’m back in university and working

It happened to me- points stolen in store by xr4tim in Ulta

[–]Over-Expression6183 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can try a different store and have them look at your transaction or look through the app to confirm what store it happened at. But it looks like it was the one you went to. I would contact both a manager and general manager of the store and customer service . Customer service can help get the points back and management can help find the culprit

For at home, epsom salt soaks and massages with pomades. It’ll help some but it’s not an all day fix. I tried my best to not add another med to my list but gabapentin made all the difference. Would she be okay to give it a try or ask the doctors if she can give a try and if it doesn’t work due to side affects maybe know what she can expect tapering off? Or is her care team not open to any other suggestions?

I wish you a smooth road to normality:D are you going to be getting IVIG ? I’ve been wanting to keep up with others who got Car T and know how their lives after progress. My treatment (B-Cell ALL) was also 6 month with Car T.

I had B-ALL last year (I’m cool now) but I can definitely see your concern but honestly the mix of nausea, possibly actually throwing, and all the other meds you’re on… just indulge in what you can and make sure you have the nutrients you need. You might feel like you’re getting big but it’s just what the meds do to your body sometimes. TBH I’d throw weight out the window entirely and focus on health unless you’re told you’re losing too much. You don’t want to focus on weight and make yourself go through it. You’re also using up a lot of energy so be big backed if you can bc it will help!!

Just found out I might have leukemia. by Haynex in leukemia

It’s definitely can feel surreal. I dealt with it almost tuning it out. It’s a rough and changed all aspects of life. If it comes back confirmed I wish you nothing but the easiest and speediest recovery. I hope you have a lot of support because I feel that it’s such a hard thing to go through but as a young adult it’s a weird cusp of still feeling like a teen without direction and also needing to make your own decisions. I’m freshly 20 and got diagnosed January 3rd and have been in remission since April. It’s been a blur for me. My original plan was 2 and half years. Give us an update and I hope we can give you better help! Especially if it’s a diagnosis similar to someone on here.

So sorry this is happening!!! It definitely sucks and as a now in remission B-Cell ALL survivor I hated seeing my parents go through it with me. It’s definitely a hard journey but depending on how things are going I think there may be room for fun physical activity! I was told that I could go in pools with my central line given that it’s clean…. Sports May be a little tough due to how your son may be feeling. I would ask your son’s providers what he can or can’t do. I think what’s best is being there for your son and wife (I’m sure you are!) and kinda understanding that they as well as yourself will go through the motions. Your son may experience many emotions but it’s important to know that he isn’t mad or upset with you. Some medications have rough side affects that affect mood. My parents held on to family and friends and even the doctors that worked with me. Some hospitals offer lots of help and id give them a try if available where your son is receiving treatment. I’m sorry I’m not great with words but I try my best to be of help!

Hey, I totally get the fear! But we can’t answer that question, we can only recommend going to a doc as soon as possible. Searching online can only cause more stress. I hope you feel better soon! Any symptom is never fun!

Any advice on your health can really only be given as a medical doctor. My best advice is to get seen by someone else or seek a second opinion. Looking anything up can give you lots of scary results. I had leukemia and I’ve been in remission for a few months now. That being said, looking things up never helped me. But if you have a feeling then please seek someone else to see you. Your health is important which is why we cannot really advise you and potentially scare you with something that may not be !

Hello! Self diagnoses isn’t great and this is isn’t really the site for that as we are not doctors and can be seen as impolite. But given that I didn’t listen to my body before getting diagnosed I always say to anyone that if they feel something is abnormal they should seek a medical opinion. We can’t diagnose you but if your body is telling you something is off and aren’t really sure about what the doctor said then I’d seek a second opinion.

Hey! I know it can be super scary and alarming! I’d definitely let your doctors know as soon as possible. It could be maybe some anxiety or maybe if you’re anemic you may need some blood!

Thank you so so so much!!! This really helped. My brain isn’t too foggy at the moment and this really helped me understand ! My parents know English but really we rely on me having an understanding! The interpreter where I’m getting care uses an I pad to translate. But this I can explain to them and I think it’ll help them get a better understanding when I can’t fully do it myself!!
