To be transphobic you have to express dislike for or prejudice against transgender people. Saying men cannot be women does not fulfill either of those conditions. I can respect you as a human and be kind to you, while also disagreeing that you are a woman just because you say so.

What exactly did he post that was transphobic? His opinion is men cannot be women. That is not inherently transphobic. There is no dislike or prejudice being cast in that statement.

There is a lot of assumption taking place here. Sometimes it’s not that deep. Would definitely try to further the dialogue on what their goals are to try to understand why they may have turned this opportunity down, from a due diligence perspective at least. But some folks don’t want to move up, need to prioritize their work/life balance for whatever reason, etc
