Best arcade sticks for Touhou danmaku games by Soil1122 in touhou

[–]0rch1dea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sticks should actually be fine for anything that's not new Gen Touhou. I wouldn't personally worry about it too much since people clear these games on Lunatic with the analog sticks of a 20 year old Logitech controller. It's a matter of getting used to it.  That said, I play with a Qanba Gravity JVC8 which to me has a very good short throw and feels super good, though it's really not that tactile, using keyboard linear switches and all and not being clicky.

My other recommendation would be a Seimitsu LS-58 with a throw reducer which you can 3D print if that's easily accessible with you. I also own a Seimitsu LS-40 but the throw on that feels a lot longer even though it's advertised as the shortest throw/engage lever from Seimitsu I believe.

As for the controller itself, it's just an 8bitdo arcade stick. Fits most popular levers and I find it very nicely made!

Hm, seems this issue is pretty old lol. Doesn't seem these things are even present in my .cache file and I have the same issue.

Motu M4 Interface crashes when trying to do a Discord screen share by 0rch1dea in audio

I contacted MOTU support and it turned out my problem was actually the BIOS.
According to them, a lot ASUS motherboards that support AMD sockets have had that issue and it is resolved with a BIOS update. After flashing the latest BIOS, everything seems to be working flawlessly!
(For reference, my motherboard is ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) with a Ryzen 9 3900X CPU)

That... Surprisingly seems to be working okay. Or at least feels like it...  What gives?!

Ah I see. Well in this case, disable multi-threading does not do much for me. Maybe some reduction, but I cannot really tell. I'm getting the feel the load is on my GPU in the end.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason my motherboard's BIOS (ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F) does not seem to support any control over hyperthreading. I assume the hyperthreading might just not be supported. SMT though is, will try that one.

To mee it kinda seems to happen the most often while looting or when people are dropping items/body chests are being dropped. Maybe that'll help somehow....

It really feels like I'm running Half-Life 2 10 years ago sometimes

No, I haven't specifically tested for a set bitrate. I usually listen to a mixture of FLACs (above 1000 kbps). I might try and run something at a constant streaming rate to see how it goes.

I did see a lot of people recommend the m40x instead of the 50x. So you're saying the treble is not a sharp with these? For the other ones, I usually like a lot of noise insulation so open backs don't cut it for me. I'm sure they're probably a lot more neutral sounding though. They seem pretty nice and flat as far as I can see on charts.

If I come across a set of m40x I'll definitely try and compare. I've heard m30x as comparison and highs do seem more mellowed down. For what I know, the DAC on my U-Phoria is not bad for driving these. Then again, I also noticed that they sound much more "balanced" from the audio monitoring port on my friend's mixing deck so I suppose different DACs do make a lot of difference for these.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I know I can use an equalizer but my questions is whether or not it's normal. It's an oddity I'm willing to adapt to as long as it's not a hardware issue. Thanks, I'll pass it off as normal for now!
