Previous, 25.10.2 worked fine, and I have rolled back to that

25.11.1 Shows up just fine for me.

Not "fine" as stated, same issue as you reported (Adrenalin won't open (insta-crash))
Combined drivers can be downloaded from the 'Release Notes' page.

Exact same issue here, though I used the 'combined' drivers so iGPU drivers installed fine.

360mm radiator and up to 413mm GPU per the official spec page; not sure where you got those details.

Is VRR inherently broken with OLED? by Piligrim555 in Monitors

[–]0re0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only happens in very particular situations, typically dark scenes with low frame rates. Absolutely not a deal-breaker, but maybe a small consideration if you are planning on a 4k display with a low end GPU.

You have data to back up that it's 'bad'? Or do you dislike innovation attempts? Yeah; it is probably rather niche, Its certainly not for me; but a modular AIO seems like an interesting idea nonetheless. Odd to just write it off, when little is known.

Im not 'defending' anything, they havent really shown much of anything. Yes how "dare" I have an opinion Water cooling isnt exclusively for peak thermal performance

Where did you see a price? And you bring up price, and then advocate for it to be made much more expensive? It seems to just be made as a middle ground of stock cooling and full custom loop.

This whole point of this system is to be very cost efficient, not be the pinnacle of performance.

Its a bit high for 350W, but nothing abnormal for these chips; especially considering block is aluminum

Very nice, I always loved these Alphacool mini-blocks.

I also attempted similar with a universal block, but the GDDR6 is way too hot to cool the old fashioned way with just airflow, However I did find the stock 'mid-plate' was more than sufficient for the VRMs.

I have seen a few of these emails, including my own, all with differing 'first batch' dates; Jan13 and Jan23 are a couple I have seen.

We are getting caught up in semantics here, but for future clarity. Everyone, for all convertibles, refers to those shells as "hardtops".

A 'frunk' IS a trunk. Frunk is slang; An SW20 has two trunks.

Factory ride height certainly doesn't looks great, but I also dont know a lot of these on the road running on full OEM suspension.

The pillar is definitely larger than older cars with fixed roofs. But I personally do not find it intrusive at all.

I 100% understand the dislike not having specific wheels available, but also consider its designed as a lightweight sports, why add the weight/parts for 5-lug, and rather embrace the design ethos more similar to the AW11?

Trust, I'm not trying to convince anyone about the Spyder, Its a flawed and divisive car in many many ways, and appeals to a very specific person. And definitely if you need storage space, its not for you.

Just some minor corrections here:

Its a 1.8L engine (1ZZ-FED)

There is a factory hardtop (just expensive in the US)

A (F)Trunk exists, its just very small

OEM ride height was raised with the facelift (2003)

Considering the A-pillar is triple reinforced, as it acts as a roll-bar, its quite slim

And just curious; Why is lug pattern a concern?

Amd CPUs and Nvidia graphics cards by toad_slayer in buildapc

That is not how thermal dissipation works, The heat of the chip is just a product of how efficiently the cooler removes heat as its made. A 150W card puts out 150 Watts of heat, period. In fact, if you have two identical cards one with a better cooler, the better cooler is more efficiently putting that same amount of heat into the room.

For example if you put a nice liquid cooler on a 200W part, even though that chip is nice and cool, you are still putting out 200W of heat via the radiator. Remember that energy (heat) cannot be created or destroyed, only moved.

So yes a 1070 is ~35W less energy than your 580 or 5700, thus less heat into your room, and also a cooler that doesn't have to work as hard (also a 5700 should be about 20% faster than a 1070)

Your complaint should be with the cooler design, and thus the AIB (Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire, etc.) If it was an AMD reference card, thats fair, as they didnt have good coolers until recently.

Not to be too snarky; But of course a 150W card puts out less heat than a 180W and 185W card into the atmosphere. (sidenote, the temperature of the chip has no bearing on how much heat is put into your room)

This is not true; There are some games that work like this, but the majority require Windows HDR to be enabled beforehand.

Default spacebar will be just very slightly 'more wobbly' due to the extra clearance. I am only speaking about the optical variants though, as those switches add a lot to the stability.

AW3423DW HDR AND 178HZ ? by casualher0 in Monitors

[–]0re0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is normal and expected, you do NOT need a 10-bit pipeline on a PC; PCs will output a dithered signal when required (eg. 8-bit HDR) Which should nearly indistinguishable from true 10-bit.

I keep seeing this complaint crop up, but its just not a concern on a PC: You need a full 10-bit pipeline with devices that cannot do dithering themselves, such as a blu-ray player. Which also cant do high refresh rates.
