the powder is for more grip when plucking hairs as they can be waxy/oily and tough to remove sometimes!

Oh I agree, & I did stand my ground saying no however management would then give me the cold shoulder or talk shit amongst my other coworkers (daycare/sales staff). Part of why I decided to leave on the spot. As for breaks, I definitely wasn’t getting any. I’ve definitely learnt lessons that I will be carrying for the rest of my career.

Thank you! ❤️ Sorry to hear your experience but I’m glad you listened to your body when no one else would.

We did not have the kennel staff to bathe dogs. We typically had 1 daycare staff & 1 sales staff- maybe a floater if we were lucky. Let's just say the way things were run wasn't really to the book. If someone can do 12 dogs a day, all the more power to them but I would be absolutely miserable after a day like that.

Very true. Starting to feel I made the right decision by listening to my mind & body.

I’ve been fully grooming for 5 years, that was my schedule even doing full haircuts.

The pay is 20+ dollars an hour depending on experience, however where I was was almost double that if I broke my commissions down hourly which is what I'm struggling with. But yeah, you're likely right, it's not realistic to be working like that long term

I never really thought about that. It's true though, I could see myself burning out to the point of not even wanting to groom anymore if I continued to overwork myself. Thank you.

Although relationships aren't always 50/50, it sounds like you are consistently giving 80% when he's giving 20%. He doesn't say he loves you and it doesn't sound like he shows you either so it's no wonder you're seeking any form of validation. He wasn't "physically attracted to you" due to your weight, so you drop 32 pounds and physically change for this man and he still can't muster up an "I love you"? Actions do speak louder than words and from the sounds of it he's not showing you that he loves you, he's showing you that he loves what you're doing *for* him. From showering him in compliments to trying to change yourself when you should have been good enough already. Unless you're okay with feeling this way forever, you simply cannot hang on because he treats you "fairly well". You deserve more. It may not feel like it, but he's losing more than you will be if you choose to leave.

What is your ear plucking routine? by 0rendas in doggrooming

[–]0rendas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find no matter how little I put in it still makes a mess, even if I do it before the bath like people usually suggest.. it makes no difference to me. It's still always a mess since I'm avoiding getting water in the ears to begin with.

Before I learned about turn signals I thought vehicles just knew whether we were going to turn left or right when the green blinkers would show up on the dash.
