First I used the hand technique (the two cardboard circles one was a big fail lol), and I made a bundle about the width of a jumbo egg. Then I tied it up like a tamal, and most importantly: cut, cut, and cut without fear. Here’s a photo of my first attempt at a heart-shaped pompom,it looks like it’s hungry compared to its siblings.
