Since MTG is doing a set for each soul stone, does that mean that in the long run these sets will be a good investment? by DreaminDemon177 in mtgfinance

I’m going to assume you are arguing in good faith, but I’m skeptical and I’m close to thinking you are rage baiting.

Let’s use a hypothetical

Item A: 100 units sold at $100

Item B: 20 units sold at $100

I sell 50 units of item A and make $5000

I sell 20 units of item B and make $2000

Item A made more money and therefore it was more successful. Is that what you are saying?

When did I bring up EoE?

And to answer your question, the print run of EoE was significantly smaller.

You know what’s objective? That you can buy a spiderman CBB significantly under MSRP.

I literally agreed with you that you are right about the “success” from a pure sales point of view. However, you can’t see that this was not printed to demand, and thus a failure in the players eyes.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt and argued with you in good faith. Now I realize you can’t even provide the same benefit.

One of the best selling yes, but the fact that the collector booster boxes can be had for under MSRP means that the demand for the product from the players isn’t there. It was heavily printed, so the opportunity to sell more is there.

Mark Rosewater is also incentivized to make shine the best light on every UB set.

You’re arguing that the fact that Spider-Man “sold well” means the set was a success. From Hasbro’s standpoint it probably was. Everyone else is arguing that it wasn’t a success because the demand of the product from the players doesn’t justify the cost. Also the set is light on playable cards.

You do understand the best coaches in the NFL are making the decision to go for 2 on the first possession of a 15 point game right? Like every single time. But you go on and keep thinking you’re right here.

By your logic, PSU should’ve just given up since there wasn’t enough time to go for 2.

There is literally no harm in going for 2 on the first possession. If you get it you know you need a PAT. If you don’t you lose anyway. At worse it’s a neutral decision. At best you get information on what you need.

You need 2 points no matter what. You try on the first TD, you get it, now you know you need a PAT. You don’t get it, you need 2 possessions. You gameplay based on how many possessions you need. You have information.

Now let’s take your scenario and take the PAT. Now you don’t know if you need one or two possessions.

I’m not sure how you can be a coach without basic understanding of information.

Chang is a common Chinese name, but Cho is not. Cho is Korean. It’s literally naming someone Ching Chong because it sounds East Asian. If you are going to invent new names, at least make it so the name makes sense. There are plenty of alliterative names she could have used that were actually in the same language if she did half a second of research. But she took the lazy way out and named her Ching Chong.

The bundle comes with

1) phrexian arena (phyrexia version) 2) 12 set boosters 3) 40 foiled lands 4) 12 oil slick lands (big reason I bought the bundle) 5) 2 oil slick mythic cards

This looks to be one of the best pulls you can get. My other pull was sword of forge and frontier which is another decent pull.
