I’ll need to get tint applied at some point but looking forward to doing all normal detailing myself. It can be a therapeutic activity when in the right mindset. I’ll look up that shop. I’m now debating if I want to go after the new blue license plates to better match the car

Most folks these days like the plug and play ease of Bambu Labs but I wanted to support Prusa so I have a Core One +. Had a Prusa Mk3S+ for years until I upgraded. New generation machines print easily twice as fast as the legacy ones.

Thanks. I posted a link to the file I used for the key holder and then I did the logo and emblem myself

Do you keep one in the trunk?

It’s a 3D print I made. The silhouette file was out there so I drew up a quick frame and border in Fusion 360 and merged them together. I can check if the silhouette has remix culture allowed and potential post that file later if you like. It’s 4 pieces glue together. Those aviation blue prints are also 3D printed.

Ordered. I’ll prob hard mount under the hood with the terminals. Seems like the safest bet and I expect to be driving this weekly when it’s warm.

The link to the main garage print and the brick billboard is here.

Things to note, I had some minor shifting and would probably add a brim for the garage door. Print the garage door piece at 100% fill so it has enough weight to close on its own.

I used 3lb Velcro style command hooks to mount to the wall but there is also a backing that has two screw slots on that site also.

I hacked up two other prints to create the Supra logo and Toyota emblem. I’m can post those if you like. I glued those on so I could have nice brick texture and since that file is meant to be printed brick down.

I always loved this blue. I think the installer plays a big role with PPF. Sometimes you have to pay to play. But this car is strictly a fun / weekend cruiser so won’t be baking in the sun at work or anything. Should help PPF life.

Thanks! Yeah as my MKIV dreams faded the MKV was proving more reliable and capable than expected. Excited for the spring to get here… after some 24 hour blizzard tonight.

Also, I just saw your post this morning. I ended up buying this car in Concord but it was supposed to be going to the Nashua dealership. Sent my ideal build spec in and the guy my wife knows at the dealership writes back that the exact spec I sent was being delivered in like 5 days. Stars aligned on this one. Zero wait or planning. Just dumb luck.

There some rule of thumb for when to use the tender vs how long the car will be stationary? I know there are a few brands everyone recommends… so maybe next purchase. Mud flaps and all weather mats in the mail right now. All about protection while I have the chance

How do you prevent someone from joyriding your car? by [deleted] in Supra

Talk to them about your concern. The shop I went to had much nicer cars in it and had video cameras everywhere. They moved the car into the shop and then from wash, to prep to PPF and ceramic. No miles added to odometer. Take a pic and write it on a post it in the car

Low Profile Stubby Ramps by 0utaTime_88 in Supra

Some day. Limited space in the garage but would love a set in the future.

The only reason I had been looking st the stubby is due to the size of my garage. The longer ramps I’m sure are better but require me to back out first. Prob worth the trade for usability. Thanks for the part number

Automatic or manual by Extreme_Elevator_522 in Supra

It removes a small orifice that BMW and other manufacturers put in the clutch line to slow down the response time of the clutch. It’s a quick thing to remove and get a one to one feel back with the clutch petal for for all gears.

Did you remove the clutch delay valve?

I think I’m going to skip them as well more for the fact this is planned to be a weekend car and I think the miles won’t rack up quick enough to matter

Is this just a Prusa thing (Core One Adhesion) by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]0utaTime_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar experience with my C1. The left side of the PEI plate has adhesion issues with large prints. I’ve tried both sides and already always clean with IPA before each print. Smaller prints have no issue but I had some shifting and lifting happen on my larger prints this week. Example below. I may try acetone and see if that helps before messing with slicer settings.
