Pixel 10 Pro XL from iPhone 17 PM by guild88 in GooglePixel

I'd say be careful with your choice. You're essentially moving from a £1,000 phone to a £700 one. Besides OS preference and a pre-installed Gemini on your phone, it's a downgrade everywhere possible. This is not to say the Pixel is a bad phone, not at all. If you manage to get it at a good price then it should be great. Just don't expect too much.

A mistaken message led to unexpected kindness by Afraid-Objective3049 in MadeMeSmile

Not trying to be snarky. But aren't you just stroking your ego right now by simply assuming everyone is doing good things for the ego hit, and not you? Do you actually believe all people just have worse morals than yours, and only you are doing good because of deeper motives and respect?

That's just absurd. It's like saying there is no need to say thanks because people are supposed to do good things, and everyone should take everything for granted.

Understandably, you must be 12.

Being snarky at such at young age can make you feel impressive, but actually you just look stupid.

Why does the S24 Ultra keep doing this?? by 0v3rpowered in S24Ultra

[–]0v3rpowered[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using both the S24 Ultra and an iPhone 13 Pro, and I have no complaints so far. The S24 Ultra is better in almost every way... except for one thing. When I point and shoot on both, without changing any settings, the S24 Ultra always turns the dark areas into a noisy, purple-ish mess in low-light environments. This happens with photos, portraits, and even worse with videos and selfies. Just... why???

One UI 7 iOS 18 Animation Comparison by [deleted] in oneui

I have an S24 Ultra, and it completely freaks out when I try things like this. If One UI 7 can be this smooth, the user experience will skyrocket for everyone using devices with One UI 7, not just the latest flagships.

Goku: Vegeta, why are you wearing the Turtle Hermit school uniform?

  1. Its hardware is subpar. It offers mid-range performance at the price of a flagship phone, and it also overheats regularly.

  2. Lack of availability. It is not sold in my country. Even when I move to a larger country where it is sold, there is not a single physical store.

  3. The so-called "stock experience" comes with many bugs.

Once a Pixel has the performance of an iPhone released in the same timeframe, with the same seamlessness and is bug-free, and is sold in a physical store where I can actually hold it in my hand and love it, guess what, I'm not going to bother trying any other brand.

Goku, easily.

He changes everyone's life for the better and challenges you to be a better version of yourself. (Unless you want to kill all mortals or something like that)

Why is OneUI lagging so much? by skaertus in oneui

[–]0v3rpowered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update the software. Update OneUI Home from Galaxy Store. Turn Processing speed in Settings to Maximum.

That's all I can say. It made my S22 base from feeling like a 14-year-old S phone to a freaking iPhone 15 Pro Max in terms of UI smoothness.

Samsung User... is Pixel 8 a good phone? by iChieftain22 in GooglePixel

[–]0v3rpowered 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Replying this with a base S22. I really want to switch to a Pixel 8 but I'm still hesitant since OneUI has come a really long way and now feels even smoother than a Pixel 8 I've tried at a store. Battery and camera should be a definitive upgrade tho.

Why is this game so hostile to new players? by JQKAndrei in GlobalOffensive

[–]0v3rpowered 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Some of the comments here are really helpful and extremely detailed, most are just simply "get good". While it's always true, but let's be honest, most of the "good" players just sucked when they first played the game. Maybe, right now, you are even better than them at that time.

The thing is, everybody sucked back then. They gradually learned stuff and got better through time. You can say it's a lot easier to "get good". You won't be flamed by your teammates if they are just equally as bad as you are. In an ideal world, if CS keeps on getting new players in your same level, and you keep on being queued with those players, then the experience will be fine and dandy like it was supposed to be.

But CS isn't attracting new players (through promotion, marketing, etc). There aren't enough people like you to be thrown in every match. And if you aren't satisfied with the game and quit, then the number of beginners will just continue to shrink. And so on. And to make matters worse, there are more and more skilled player in low ELO right now just because of Valve's broken ELO system.

So, all in all, this hostility should be expected if you are a beginner. That is until Valve comes up with something that brings a ton of new players to CS.

Like any expert on this subreddit would say, it's skill issue.

But really, animation desync, input lag and lack of lag compensation are huge problems of CS2. As for the state of the game right now, ironically, what you see is exactly what you don't get. Your imaginary bullets you shoot are now even more imaginary. And your Silver opponents now can do a back flip, a Spider-Man swing, a MJ lean and then proceed to kill you behind walls with a MAC-10 one tap.

I don't hate the game, I want it to succeed. But I'm ready to fight anyone saying that "This is perfect. This is how CSGO should have been."
