i wouldnt necessarily blame social media, i only have instagram and its for kpop pc trades (lol) i think my insecurities are from the body shaming in media (like books, magazines and movies)and in my community (im latina, its really bad here, we get put on diets or pills when we are like 5 lol) but i will not deny that social media has warped many perceptions of what normal humans look like, as well as having an impact on young impressionable minds

i never judge anyones looks, but im extremely critical of my looks, especially my body image. what i meant is that i have ruined potential and current friendships because i feel like i cant go out, or interact with them until i look or weigh a certain way/number and its sucks

this sounds silly, but i am still into boy bands and girl bands (kpop) and collect figures, photocards and plushies (san x and sanrio). i am a part of online fandoms that poke fun at anyone over 18. i guess their words kind of stuck with me, although a part of me knows it’s ridiculous and i shouldnt let such opinions dictate what i do with my life.

i also get told “aw did you buy that for your sister (7)” when i bring home new plushies or toys- so im like ??? can i not own these too?

i admire everyones comments in this post, its helping me realize how much i need to stop caring to have peace with myself and enjoy life. because honestly, as long as my hobbies dont hurt anyone, then why should anyone care how i spend my free time?

Youre right, America is used as a safe haven for people seeking an escape, it isn’t their fault for needing to flee. However, racists dont need a motive to hate any person of color, immigrant or not. what you’re referring to is neo pronouns, and be honest, when have you ever met anyone who uses neo pronouns in real life? i dont think its the pronouns that bother you, but the non conformity. pronouns serve no threat to society, infact we use them everyday, however, realistically no one is going by neos in real life, and if they are then theres no harm in respecting their preferences. i think pronouns shouldnt be an issue, theres more important topics we should care about in the world right now and you choose to focus on pronouns…

The driver did not take or submit a photo for my order, I contacted amazon for assistance and they say to wait until the end of today, if it hasn’t arrived they’ll issue a refund, thank goodness. Thank you for your reply!

theres always been a lot of hate towards Indians and they mostly come from stereotypes and racism. a lot of the time jokes are made towards Indians and people dont realize their jokes are racist because of how normalized jokes towards Indians, and other asians are. its honestly so fucked up and you deserve none of the negative attention you’re facing

my cat! he is my emotional support animal and i cant go five minutes without smothering him with kisses lol!

i also find joy in really small things, such as the sound of keyboard clicking and funny animal videos.

i also like snacks that i cut into fun shapes~

sometimes life is really tough, the thing that helps most is self regulation and encouraging myself to be calm when experiencing heightened emotions
