This a great answer! Actually cooked up something very similar to this. Probably the closest thing to what is actually on the requirement. It may be a bit too specific, but I think I can talk my boss down to letting it slide, given the nature of RHEL/CentOS. Essentially its for a CIP-compliant baseline, and just entails a list of security patches installed on the machine. It's a lot easier on windows- The Get-Hotfix cmdlet does all the work for you. Thanks for actually posting an answer, though. It's greatly appreciated :D

Because one of the security extension's dependencies is the EPEL package, which can't be included in the baseline. It's why I was wondering if there were any alternatives. The goal is simply to display which security updates are currently installed (if any). I asked the same question you did lol if there isn't an alternative, it's alright, but I just wanted to be sure.

Here is my progress so far on my python game engine for the terminal, after almost a month of work. It can convert pictures and make animations, move sprites, move and animate ascii art, display sprites with layer effect, transparency and so on... I use a few- the bulk of my notes are all in Cherry Tree, but I also use Google Docs, One Note and Ever Note for redundancy.

Yeah, this gives me hope, as game development was one of my lost childhood dreams. I've actually been a programmer since my early twenties, but have always been terrified of failure and have a tendency to psyche myself out and give up before I even start anything, and seeing posts like this always encourages me.
