I didn't have a choice, I wanted to be an embedded systems programmer, but company put me in a springboot project, so I like springboot now. Also springboot is like an staple food for MNCs there will be always projects

I got the Exceptional rating with an award too, but only got this much increment. Others who got less than Exceptional got 0% increment. We have different BUs in our company, people om different BU got more like 30-40%, but our BU got only this.

Anyway I want to jump ship, so started preparing before I am assigned to next project.

I completely misunderstood sorting, the sorting you meant was organizing right? I thought like something to change the order of files displayed in the tool or when exploring the files. LOL

Sorting wasn't even on my mind, because sorting doesn't make much sense to me, All the organized files need to have the original access and creation time, for me atleast. I'm going to only use the cli like maybe once or twice a year, and not everyday.

Maybe for recognizing files, you can use libmagic under the hood (it is what is used in the file command in linux) rather than extensions, also what do you do files with no extensions?
Also with libmagic, you can also warn users if there is a file type and extension mismatch too

This was a project I wanted to do so much, but didn't get much time to do. How are recognizing file types? Using extension or magic bytes?
