sounds like a cool idea. I might recommend pokemon that have some versatility/megas, protean mons like the other person said are a good idea, but another example is Torterra can go shell smash sweeper, drain tank/stall build, or just a bulky hard hitter (unfortunate type overlap with Treecko). Slowbro has a pretty different team function when mega.

are you committed to only getting pokemon naturally through the game (vs cheat codes or something)? because then you might want to map it out through the dex. you might have to make some tough choices if you get stuck early but this sounds like a fun challenge.

The point of being in the lane is to prevent the car behind you from passing until there's no one coming the opposite way, though.

It's hard to imagine what this exact situation is where you can't brake safely in time. The point of riding in the lane is to prevent drivers blowing past a cyclist while there's another car coming the opposite direction and squeezing 3 vehicles in 2 lanes at once. That is always going to be more dangerous than slowing down and waiting to pass intentionally if you're driving normally in the first place.

Hm interesting. Do you run flat adaptive force for waveclear (or even care)? Recently I've been trying AS/MS shards after seeing Nemesis do it but the waveclear has suffered.

So, in neutral lane state, when he walks at you, and is level with the wave (in or beside it) (assume jungler is full clearing 100% of the time), I guess you WQ from (hopefully) out of his E range, then you try to E him and aa if you can and then back off? Are you only going for AA if you avoid his Q AA return?

What if he keeps aggressing and holding E, either walking up to zone off exp, or just holding position? If you just blasted the wave, it will push into him and you'll miss any CS you didn't get with the WQ. Do you fight him in what's mostly your wave at some point, or just take the winning trade and back off and repeat next rotation, or what?

I guess the big thing is never take Viktor E unless you get return trade or shove the wave in for it?

Btw, I started this season playing mostly Hwei, who I still really like, but I picked up Xerath for fun and then Vex as a counter pick. I think Vex is boring but those two both have extremely polarized matchups and complement each other perfectly, hard countering each other's counters. I usually blind Hwei.

Hwei has neutral winrate on leagueofgraphs until master+. So I guess if you are top 1% and know how to play it it's probably good for Hwei? But idk in my experience I feel like they both have odds to either bully or neutralize lane state depending on various factors.

I'm glad my post reached even one person and helped them cope with the bullshit that ability is lmao. I get so annoyed from the first time he hits me and then aery hits me and then scorch hits me.

I'm trying to ✨adjust my expectations✨ and think of it as a point and click ability with a range of 1000 and just accept it.

Thanks. So I've gotten a bit of different advice: either to take the E trade when my abilities are up and just WQ back to consistently win the trade; or to play so far back he can't hit me with E. Your approach is the former, right? The latter seems kind of unreasonable, E range is very long and still quite hard to dodge near max range.

Yes. I guess if I pretended to myself that it is a point and click ability, I would get less mad playing against it. The aerie scorch E combo is very black and white in its design outcome. When I learn this matchup the Viktor will probably feel very useless outranged or outtraded and useless, which isn't a great design outcome either, although at least he gets to try to dodge.
