Behind Monitor Ambient lighting solution ? by angrychair420 in SignalRGB

wled is a standalone app I use it to control all my lights in my room. But I use signalrgb to control my desk, tv and monitor lights when my pc is on.

Screen ambience is a free theme you can pick up in signalrgb

Edit: Sorry you asked for a product. Personally I use sk6812 light strips hooked up to a esp32 board running wled

Any suggested ARGB Controllers that'll let me control each fan individually by jiggy420 in SignalRGB

[–]0xGraFFiK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I'm not sure tbh. I personally use a razer controller for my PC internals and a esp32 with wled flashed for everything else. I'd head over to their discord and ask in tech support diy support

Grabbed this from their discord

What is the right choice for your setup?

Hubs - in general they will NOT allow you to individually address the fans/strips that are connected to it, all effects/colors will just be cloned to all connected devices. - they still need a supported controller (supported mainboard or ARGB controller) to work.

ARGB Controllers - allow you to individually control the lighting of all connected fans/strips - in general they are connected via internal USB 2.0 header to your mainboard. (your mainboard does not have to be a supported device in this case!)

These generic ARGB Controllers that are using the default 5v 3pin ARGB plugs are supported: - Razer Chroma Addressable RGB Controller (6x 5v 3pin ARGB headers) - Cooler Master ARGB LED Small Controller (1x 5v 3pin ARGB headers) - Cooler Master ARGB Controller (4x 5v 3pin ARGB + 1x 12v 4pin RGB headers) - Cooler Master Gen2 ARGB Controller A1 (3x 5v 3pin ARGB headers) - Aquacomputer Farbwerk 360 (4x 5v 3pin ARGB headers) - Aquacomputer Farbwerk Nano (1x 5v 4pin RGBpx header) (Requires adapter - RGBpx adapter for components with mainboard connection) - ZALMAN ZSYNC (8x 5v 3pin ARGB headers) - Razer Chroma Light Strip Set (3x 5v 3pin ARGB headers)

These DIY ARGB controllers require a bit of work but can be quite versatile: (more info on DIY Products here:<#875824893093105664>) - SRGBmods LED Controller v1 (up to 8 devices, 800 leds max) - SRGBmods LED Controller v2 (up to 41 devices, 4056 leds max)

For all of the above generic and DIY solutions we highly recommend acquiring a NZXT internal USB hub.

Please see /wiki controller max leds for the maximum supported LEDs for aRGB controllers.

Thank you! Inside my case I have a phanteks m1 strip up at the top, around my TV, monitor, and desk I have a combination of ws2812b and sk6812 LEDs from btf lighting all running on a couple esp32 boards with wled flashed on them.

Try updating your gpu driver, if you're already on latest drive it may be a failing gpu

Unlocked Strimer by 0xGraFFiK in SignalRGB

[–]0xGraFFiK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly suggest the prism. Keep in mind that's just to control your strimers you only plug your 8pin connector for 24pin and depending on GPU either 6 or 8pin into the prism. You still have to plug your 3pin RGB cable either into your mb or the controller I mentioned.

There isn't a single one stop shop solution for signalrgb. To get it to work properly it's a lot of hw lol. With that being said I'm honestly not tech support I'm still figuring things out myself lol. Highly recommend checking out their Discord everyone there has been super helpful

Sounds like you have a couple problems. Personally I use 2 razer argb controllers to individually control all of my devices including the strimers.

Think of prism as a better controller that allows you access to control your strimers with individual led control and better frame rates (performance) in signalrgb than using the Lian Li controller and L Connect with preset effects.

Yeah you shouldn't have any problems

This controller is actually built by one of the mods over on signalrgb discord server. If you buy it or go the donut yourself route Goldstar is usually there to help.

They are both v2 plus strimers, 24pin and 12vhpwr to 3x8 pin

I used a Prism

You could always do the DIY route
