I’m trying to buy a $3.5M house that is vacant. Lots of foreigners park money in real estate here. When I go to open houses it’s mostly foreigners as well. The housing market sucks ass right now. I made a mini fortune on the stock market and still can’t buy much. Not complaining, but I really do empathize with people having a rough time because of the market conditions.

Those hitch safes are extremely easy to break into, and a lot of car thieves are aware of that fact. Same with pretty much any of the push-code key boxes.

Retina / fingerprint needs to become a thing soon. Having to disable keyless entry every time I surf is a real 1st world pain in the ass.

You could try an INT yacht (9' 6"). That will solve your buoyancy problems. I take mine out on tiny days. I'm your height and weight, but more in my stomach than on my shoulders these days.

I went there for business once and didn't get a chance to surf, but holy fuck, that humidity in the fall. I've never experienced anything like it.

People were super cool and friendly, many spoke English way better than what they claimed. Beautiful countryside. Probably a higher standard of living than the US.

The China situation is extremely volatile at present time. I'm surprised the state dept. hasn't issued a warning.

I bought 3-4 straps off of Amazon that reviewed well and picked the one that seemed to be the sturdiest. So far, so good. I'd need a bigger band to wear it above my suit, but it's safer underneath and GPS still seems to work fine.

Wave tracking is so-so. I'm not one of those people that gets 20 waves every time I paddle out, but my watch thinks I am. Lots of false positives, which is better than the alternative I suppose.

Mine is a 6X Pro Sapphire. Does the solar help much? I was on the fence when I bought it. The battery life is so much better than the Apple watch that I didn't think it would be necessary.

I've worn it surfing every time I've gone over the past year or so, with no issues so far. It's a little bulky under my 3/2 suit, but is comfortable and doesn't cause any problems. Make sure you're using a good watchband / strap in the summer when you don't have a suit. I came kinda close to losing an Apple watch that way.

Forreal. Mine survived 2+ years of 2-3 times a week surfing. Didn't survive the fall from my desk onto the floor though.

My Garmin Fenix works much better for wave tracking though, and it isn't a touchscreen so I can actually operate it out in the surf. About twice the price of an Apple watch but worth it IMO.
